I've been using them for a few months now, and the servers are top notch! I got a a tekkit server from them to do a letsplay on, and now it is home to about 10 people. Lag? Yes, but only when someone deletes half the ocean :| Got that sorted out and everything is back up and running. Currently having one issue getting my FTP server to connect, but I submitted a ticket, so no doubt they'll have it sorted out quickly! (I hope...)
I put in a support ticket over a week ago and have not gotten a response.
That is because our business partner (He bought a bunch of servers so we could get our business up and running.) who was supplying our paychecks has told us to f off because he isn't making enough money. Lethaldrive itself was making enough to keep the business running and pay for our paychecks. (JWJ and I. Maybe half of our paychecks, but enough to make a living) However, stuff was not going so smooth for our business partner. I don't want to give out any personal details, but what I can say is that he lost a not so legal business that was supplying him a good amount of money. He is still making money from his other server provider that he runs, but that was not good enough for him I guess. SO he decides to shut down Lethaldrive and merge all the servers with his crap server provider.
O which brings me to another good point. This has yet to happen but everyone who has a server with Lethaldrive is about to be merged with a crap host that will most likely overload the nodes and cause your server to run like crap. Might I also add that the in house control panel JWJ was working on is being thrown away. Yea it did have its problems, but we could of worked all the bugs out and had a beast CP that would of knocked TCadmin out of the park. Hell, IMO it is better then TCadmin now. But o well. Whats done is done.
Its funny because this is pretty much how Brohoster ended.

Maybe both you and JWJ will learn someday to stop handing your company over to someone else. If you can't handle it yourself, this might not be the industry for you.
agreed, honestly jwj you should tell them to [profanity="fuck"] the hell off
it happened with brohoster and all that drama of facepunch (highly illegal, ohboy) and you shouldn't hand it over
learn from previous mistakes dude.

I'm not the corporate manager that made this decision, but I am the manager of the company (Xenon) that is handling the current clients of LethalDrive. I wholeheartedly agree that it is unfortunate that the company needed to come to this fate, but the assumption that we're going to put the customers on overloaded systems is untrue. Of course I understand your frustration, but it's not necessary to scare people like that. In fact, the same systems that were hosting the LD server instances are the ones they will be re-deployed on. Us at Xenon have had issues in the past with management problems, but that old manager has since been replaced by myself. I was a support technician through the times that management made some bad decisions, so I experienced the same frustrations that customers did. I've since been working my fingers raw to make Xenon what it once was. This will remain true even while we are making this difficult migration, and I hope that in the end everyone will be able to settle in and be able to concentrate on what really matters - having fun playing games with friends.

First off he (Guy who screwed us) paid for all of the servers that everyone is currently hosted on. If I had $20,000 to blow on some servers then I would of been more then happy to buy them for us. You can't really start a business without money so we had to look somewhere.

Nothing was handed over. XNS owned LethalDrive from the start. This isn't some big dramatic thing like Brohoster was. All that happened was that the owner didn't want to pay for things anymore because we weren't able to get the growth we needed and he was out of money. The Minecraft industry is much harder than it was before, primarily due to the insanely low pricing everybody runs because they don't pay their employees nearly as much as we did. A couple companies made it big, but that's because they started before the market practically crashed.
Nerdy is angry because he basically lost his job out of the blue and got screwed over, but he's wrong. None of our clients are getting screwed over, all servers are being kept online, they're just being moved to a new control panel and a different branding/support staff. The network is the same.
All that really happened that could be looked as 'bad' was that we didn't get that good of a warning nor were we ever let in on how the company was actually doing overall, so the fact that we suddenly have to merge and there's no way around that kind of just dropped on us out of nowhere.

I have been using LethalDrive for a few months now. I've had my issues, but overal, as far as performance/price, it is outstanding. Servers run great! Mine are down right now, and I am guessing it has something to do with the merge? I don't mind. They have been good to me, so I'm willing to ride out this little storm.
Ok, so lemme get this straight. LD wasn't getting good business, so XNS decided to merge them with another company. My server was running without issues up until now, when I tried to update Bukkit and my server failed to start. I headed to their main page and found out about the merge for the first time. Some quick questions. A. How will this affect my billing cycle and pricing? And B. How long will I have to wait to go to the other hosting panel and stuff and can control my server again? You've been a good host these past 4 months and it sucks to see you go. Best wishes.
Highly recommended!

Less drama and more screwing people over. You won't see this one for sale on webshoting talk.
