Do you do refunds, and/or have a 512MB/1GB RAM test server up?
If you request a refund then I refund you back the money minus time used rounded to the nearest day. Take a look at 68.233.241.196:25000. That is one of my servers running on a GB of RAM.

Sounds good. Just ordered a 512 to test out.
Order received and the details of your server have been sent! Thanks for choosing hAvox Hosting!
Just bought a 128mb server, hope it gets on soon, really enjoyed the test servers, hopefully its all good news from here
Howdy connor!
Thanks for choosing hAvox Hosting! I am putting the finishing touches on your server right now. Since you liked the test server so much I cloned it for you minus the map and advertisements. Most of the permissions are done to. Since I see what your MC name is on here I will also go ahead and add you to the OP.txt.
Thanks I really appreciate it! i'm glad your being so personal with your own service, its much easier to understand how the process is going on when the person who is setting everything up is keeping you up to date, much different from when I had large computerized companies host my past private servers.

Also, if you need any help, feel free to contact me trough MSN. I will send you my MSN adress in a PM :wink.gif:
Server is smooth and great, REALLY appreciate it, this is coming from someone who went out on a limb to deal with this server host and it worked for the best, I GREATLY recommend this hosting service

hey elricsfate, I've decided that I want to migrate my server to a dedicated host (you were on there not long ago, there are a few ppl on now who seem like they want to stay)..
I haven't decided when yet (soon i hope), but it depends on funds. How involved would it be to upload my server (world folder) to your host if i bought a plan? And what's your bukkit support like.. do you install the bukkit mod/plugins or do I? Also, how would I edit the bukkit config files? (.yml files, I've learnt a lot about yaml from setting up my server, with help)
don't mean to bombard you with questions, but I'd be interested to know how the whole process would work out. I can do most of it myself without too much trouble, being quite tech savvy, but I thought I'd read up on it first.
Thanks (and you're welcome on my server any time, it's now running trouble free with a base set of bukkit plugins that I wanted.)
**edit: off the top of my head, copying the entire directory with my craftbukkit.jar and craftbukkit starter.bat would be the easiest way to migrate wouldn't it? it would be a snapshot of the server's current state..
Howdy blade023,
Awesome. I hope to host your server soon! In response to your questions:
Uploading your files is as simple as compressing them into a .zip or other format such as .tar.gz/.bzip and then logging into SFTP and dragging them over. After that you just extract the file through SSH. I aid in server migration so if you need help we can get you fixed up.
I install bukkit for you and as of late I have been installing a base set of plugins from my test server so clients will have a base to work with. Its your responsibility to install the plugins but if you have questions then I am more than glad to help.
You can edit any files either through SFTP or directly through SSH.
Nothing wrong with questions. I like a consumer that investigates a product or service before they buy it. Its the smart thing to do.
In response to your edit: You can pretty much upload everything you have now and the only thing we might need to change would be the craftbukkit.bat file (To a .sh) and the port/IP used in the server config.
I thought you could just drag over the entire folder in filezilla? Why do you need to .zip it first elric?
Oh and by the way I have some suggestions:
-As you know, at one point I was having trouble connecting to my server both via SSH and via SFTP, the reason why I couldn't connect to it was because I was entering the IP with you say to enter in your knowledgebase. You should probably change the guide in there to say "enter the IP that you received in your email" or something...
-I think that the default plugins for bukkit should be - EssentialsChat, EssentialsSpawn and (of course) CraftBukkitUpToDate to keep the server updated.
Howdy!
I sent you a PM with my MSN. I will help you trough MSN since you are one of my "referred clients". If you do not have MSN, it will get a bit harder to keep in touch, sorry!

1.You can just drag the folder over but it is often faster if you go ahead and compress the file in some way.
2. Updated. I changed my documentation to reflect your suggestion. Thanks for helping improve the hAvox Hosting experience.
3. I will be sure to keep that in mind. I made a simple pack as everyone will have a different idea of what the default pack should be :smile.gif:.
If you'd like, i could let you test on my 512MB server and my 1GB server. Just PM me and i'll whitelist you on them both!
And yes, i am a customer of elricsfate :wink.gif:
