The problem is, is there anything big in Alberta? All Minecons always are at a place where there's something fun and well-known around. Like Las Vegas, Disney Land, Disney World + Universal. I hadn't even heard of the Province Alberta until I Googled it..
If I had to guess I'd say it will be in Europe next year to give the game more exposure in a different market. I cant even imagine how expensive it would be to fly over there for Minecon. Florida was only $300 in gas round trip but I imagine Europe would cost ten times as much.
Well, be based in Sweden and all, I think Mojang has the surronding area down. but I might be wrong. Also, begging Minecon 2016 to be placed in your (or near your) town of residence is kind of foolish. At least give an exact Convention Center and give a solid reason why, other than "It's too far". For me, not to be rude but, Minecrafters usually have a lot of money since they can afford a decent-nice computer and Minecraft. Like VibeRaider said, make it happen.
I wouldn't mind it actually. Alberta is closer to me than Florida.
I might ACTUALLY go then!
Crazy how somewhere out of the country can be closer to somewhere inside the same country I live in.
Plus I think Alberta might have nicer weather, IMO.
Don't have to worry about suffocating inside your Steve head because of the humidity.
