Not actually tickets, though. I got passes from a friend. Not sure if they still work.

Unless the passes have some sort of valid barcode/QR code on them I don't see how you're gonna get past registration when they whip out the scanners.

They worked, and I got special perks. The were Exhibitor passes, because the friend ran the Gameband booth. I really did get to go.

It did sound a bit odd at first, but it worked.
