Hey guys! I know this idea sounds really stupid but I believe Mojang should highly consider this. There are millions of Minecraft fans around the world who would love to attend Minecon. It is unfortunate that many fans are not able to go because of the location they live in. I have a suggestion that I think will help everyone out a bit. There should be Minecon multiple times a year and each Minecon event should be in different locations. For example there would be a convention West Coast US, East Coast US, Asia, Europe, Australia, etc. Also having these Minecon conventions in multiple areas would also bring more fans to the game as well (just an opinion). This probably won't happen but I was just wondering what you guys thought about this idea. This most likely won't help me because I live in Hawaii and it cost so much money to buy a plane ticket coming back into Hawaii but I know it will help a lot of other Minecraft fans around the world. So what do you guys think about my idea?

Do you know how much time it takes to plan a convention? Not as easy as it might seam. Minecon is a special event, if they start doing it every 2 months it would lose its value. This would also take a huge amount of money I doubt Mojang would be willing to spend. Sorry

Also I thought Minecon could do this because Comic Con does it in multiple locations as well but I noticed Minecraft isn't as big as Comics, etc. Maybe Mojang can still do this but there is one big Minecon event and smaller other ones. They dont need to go all out and spend a ton on all of them only one and the others would just be smaller conventions. How does that sound?

Mojang loses money every time a Minecon is held, so more than one per year could result in quite a substantial revenue loss.
Mojang does not lose money. This is a marketing expense. It is good for them companies do things like this all the time for their clients and customers. It is silly to think of it as a loss. It really isn't. That being said, an official Minecon once a year is enough. But that does not mean you can't host your own local Minecraft meet. I know communities do it all the time.

I actually agree with you on this one! People can host their own local Minecons and that will be a success in bringing in more players.

Is there some sort of evidence to prove that? Just curious..
I would've thought from all the 'hype' of Minecon that it would encourage a lot of people to purchase Mojang's games, leading to a profit.
