Most conventions tend to suck anyway, let alone one that's specifically for one game, not for a genre (gaming convention, rpg convention anime convention etc).
If this is the average person who wants to go to the con - people whining on forums about how it is unfair that Mojang picked a desirable venue that just happens to be far away from where they live - I am glad I'm not going.
I just got back from a trip to Orlando. The only negative experiences I had were cabs that kept saying "my credit card reader is broken!" and demanded cash (it got old after the 4th time in a row), and that no one speaks English. So basically, if you are fluent in Spanish and carry a lot of cash with you, you'll fit right in.
My advice is to never carry a lot of cash on you in Florida.

You know, all you do in MineCon is see some semi-famous people, get some merchandise you could easily get online, and get a virtual cape that no one cares about. IMO, I would rather stay home.
I can't go to MineCon either, but there's always next year! At least, I HOPE there's next year...
But see? That's the thing, we all HOPE there's another Minecon, but Minecraft has shot up in popularity, and everyone is waiting for the big... how should I say... downfall? Minecon might not even happen next year. It really depends on the popularity of the game, and I considering Minecraft has been this big for so long, perhaps there will not be enough popularity that will yield a crowd of 7500 people that will fly out to see a convention about it...
In a nutshell, people are worried that Minecon events are coming to a close. Not ME per say, but I've seen it around on various forums...
So your Dad ruined your username and now your Mom is denying your request to spend several thousand dollars to go to a convention for a computer game. Rough life man. Look at it this way: Would you rather go to Minecon or go to college? Trust us in a few years when you are leaving for college and can afford the first few months with no loans you will be much happier then if you went to Minecon.

Another one of your topics is you ranting about your dad giving you a "stupid" username that was actually better than your last one, this one is you ranting about not being able to go to minecon, which basically amounts to "merchandise" and "cape", and yet another was a technical question that appears to have been instantly resolved by a single post giving the most basic advice. Only one of your topics appears to actually be worth anything.

Minecon is in Orlando, Florida, And I live in the Pacific Northwest! I asked my mom if we could save up to go but she says its too expensive! It's not fair notch had to destroy that globe and the sword landed in Florida. Waah!
My mom said she would take me if ti was in somewhere like in Idaho, California, But what if MineCon is in like in
UK or something in 2014? WaaaH! D'X
You HAD your chance when it was MineCon 2011 buddy, you HAD a chance!

I am not spoiled.
I don't do comic-con, but you have a sonic the hedgehog character as your profile pic? Last year in Seattle we had anime-con!
