When i refresh the page, it says tickets sold, but on one of my pages I haven't refreshed it still says pending. Does that mean I still have a chance or is my life ruined forever?
Yes they're all gone :'( I've also created a petition though asking for more tickets to be sold so I really hope someone at Mojang sees it.
The OCCC can only hold 7500 people. Mojang wanted to sell more tickets, but couldn't due to safety and fire regulations. Your petition will do absolutely nothing.
The correct saying would be the West Building holds 7500 people. That the the Biggest building on the entire OCCC. There is a Nort/South building (what is smaller) I been to the OCCC 6 times for my Job and believe me. Mojang as I can read it is only renting the West building. For futher investigation of you guys here is the Layout of the entire OCCC what is in the Orlando Convention District.
MineCon will be held in Building 1 aka West Building. So here know yourself out
Sadly, the tickets are all gone. There is a petition to sell tickets at the door, but selling them at the door could end up in disaster. Ticket scalpers have been trying to sell Minecon Tickets via Ebay, but they are extremely expensive. I saw 2 for over 2,000 dollars, which is really bad.
And don't count on any petition to change anything, don't want to blow any bubble, but the OCCC can't and won't allow more than 7500 persons during the Minecon, there's plenty of events that are at the same place at the same time they won't cancel them because of a petition by fans that want Mojang to offer more tickets and rent more space for the Minecon event, it won't happen, you have better luck winning the powerball than that, also they couldn't rent a bigger place than that either...
Just curious if this was the same kind of ranting last year...
I don't want to be a sour grape as well but I can guarantee you Mojang will not sell anymore than the 7500 tickets sold already. As several people have stated there would be logistical issues such as crowd control, fire occupancy codes, contracts and leasing agreements for OCCC have been finalized, and so on. If they even sold 50 percent more tickets who's to say more people won't complain about not having a ticket after those sell out too? Also Mojang has stated they want to keep the amount of attendees minimal for a more intimate experience with their fans. IMO I think 7500 people is way too many to be an intimate experience. I know some people are gonna be up in arms with this next opinion... But I think Minecon should be limited to 5000 people or less and have several regional Minecons.
Mojang stated any tickets refunded will be resold, if that happens then you may be able to get a ticket.
Besides that though, tickets are completely sold out.
Mojang runs Minecon at a loss. Meaning they get less out of it than they put in. I doubt they will change anything. I was lucky enough to get 3. Sorry if you didn't get one.
