Hello everyone as you know Minecon tickets are completely sold out now. With a game this big don't you think there should be more tickets available? If almost 12 MILLION people play the PC version 7500 is barely anything compared to that HUGE number. There should be ATLEAST 2500 more sold and maybe even more. It wouldnt be a money problem either due to the fact 1 ticket is $150 and Mojang could easy get more space because the convention center is gigantic. Also because Eventbrite is not a fair site it will randomly kick you off while you are in line waiting to get to the checkout. In todays batch I was kicked out every single time and I got in line 6 times!! If you believe there should be more tickets sold than vote up in the poll above.

I support this petition but as Moshakra said, I doubt any of Mojang's team will take a look at this unless the community shows really great interest in this.
Most likely, the number of tickets was at least partially determined by the size of the facility where Minecon is taking place. They may not be permitted to increase the number of tickets due to facility capacity restrictions.
The west wing of the OCCC can only hold around 7,500 people while still being valid within the scope of the fire and safety regulations of the state of Florida.
Mojang wanted to be able to sell more tickets, but the venue size simply would not allow it.
That being said, this petition will do absolutely nothing.
The only way they can sell more tickets is if they rent more space in the convention center. The reason they have that limit is because the convention center people wont let them bring in more people than the limit. You know, for safety reasons and everything...
If they sell more it will be overcrowded, and they won't be buying more space. Nothing was very unfair, some were quicker then others. Don't blame them.
Getting another shot to buy tickets would be awesome, godsend if I can actually grab them. I spent a whole hour during the second batch in a skype call with people from a server i play on all of us trying to get tickets. Tried for 27 minutes today on the third batch (they were confirmed sold out in 27 minutes) and only 2 of us got tickets. I didn't get any, although i was put in a "line" 3 times and each time i was kicked out of line for no real reason other than the tickets are with other customers, which was why i was in line in the first place waiting for a canceled order right? So why was I even kicked out of line?
Due to the severe lack of us getting tickets, one of the people in there who bought two pickets for himself and his roomates decided to sell them because of the lack of the people able to go there from the server.
Also I'm just bitter about being kicked out of line 3 times after trying for so long

Uhum, it is quite stupid how Eventbrite deals with large crowds. That was NOT first come, first serve at all. Eventbrite puts people on a "waiting list" then they kick them out minutes later, even though there were tickets still out there! As a result of that, I picked up tickets a couple minutes before they completely sold out. So, when you think about it, I kinda cheated and got what was supposed to be some other person's tickets. But I actually didn't cheat because I was on that waiting list also and got kicked out, but got lucky and found an open spot at the last minute. I could've just as easily not have waited beforehand and gotten the tickets anyway, though.
Anyway, the solution is for Mojang to rent out a larger space. Too late now, but they really should've thought about that earlier. They need to realize this a rapidly growing game and there is a HUGE difference between the amount of players from 2011 and 2013. They sold, I believe, 4500 tickets in 2011 and they're selling 7500 now. Not much increase, I must say..
lets all be honest! they could have done better but because apparently(according to various companies) ticketmaster has terrible rates. because of this they will most likely use eventbrite again. pray that they find a better system to handle huge amounts of people.

I agree, but eventbrite also wasn't expecting such high traffic within 3 seconds. Reason it kicked you from waiting list
1. Tickets were already gone
2. So much traffic it overloaded

I got tickets, but the Eventbright thing sucks. I had them in my cart, loading for several minutes(not the pending BS screen) and then it kicked me from the queue.
I don't think they should make the convention too big either, because it won't be special or as meaningful. I am honored to go as well, but the ticket buying process has to be more smooth next time. It was horrible! I clicked as the counter reached 0, and I got screwed out of batch 2, and almost lost batch 3. Finally, I got two tickets.
