Alright, my brother bought Minecraft on the 5th of January. He has never gotten any email whatsoever from Mojang and the debit card was charged on the same day. Should we keep waiting, or send in a ticket?
I did see the "When Will I Hear Back" article, but I believe it is referring to support tickets rather than purchases.
Where did you buy the game? Which payment service did you use to buy the game? Note that the transaction ID varies through the different payment providers, they give you the ID, not Mojang.

Super sorry for being super late. I thought a reply to your own topic gave you a notification, maybe I deactivated it.
But anyways he bought it from minecraft.net. A debit card was used to purchase it also. I logged into his Mojang account and Minecraft isn't on there. I dunno what to do. Would the bank email him about the purchase? We've only got a bank statement that has the purchase.

Your transaction would have been processed by Braintree, so your transaction ID is a 10 number code that consists of the first 6 numbers and the last 4 numbers of the debit card used to purchase Minecraft.
Send an email to Mojang including the transaction ID and explain the issue: http://is.gd/email_mojang

There is an idea in there on a way you can try to see if you have the game.
It worked for me.
Also, do not hold your breath if you do send in an email. I sent in several and have not heard back for weeks...
