Mojang have created a wonderful idea!....but at the same time not. Although I have created many servers in the past and have had experience, that is because I looked up tutorials and did it all myself. At the cost of the Realm servers compared to cost of american hosting, I'd personally prefer to go with the american hosting, even if I didn't know how to set up a server and all because the cost is too much. As well as if I don't use realms, it opens up the opportunity of using mods or plugins but by the looks of things that isn't available in realms. I don't know, it's a good idea but it doesn't seem worth it to me.
My question is, will I eventually be able to upload my world onto Realms? I know I can't atm, I'm just curious. Also, ETA on when Germany gets Realms? Or can Germans be invited to a Realm that was started in, say, Canada?
Kind of lame with no mods allowed. I guess they have to start somewhere, but many of us PC users are bored with vanilla MC and playing mods at this point. Hopefully it won't take too long for some mods to be supported. Even if it's just a few popular modpacks at first, that would be a good start.
Hey I think realms is cool to but don't you think its a bit pricey?
13$ a month. I know its amazing that you can do this but instead you can just make a public game and whitelist it and then just play multiplayer without paying 13$.
I'm in Mexico. I wanted to try one month of Realms for my friends, but when I go to payment options and choose Paypal instead of credit/debit card, it changes $13 dollars to 10 Euros, which ends up being more expensive for me. Is this a problem with Paypal itself? Anyone else has this issue?
Is this the same as running your own Minecraft server? If so, it's a but pricey. It's cheaper to host it elsewhere. I run my own and see no value in using this service if it's just hosting.
The cost of realms is way to high at the moment, compaired to other server hosting sites. I can get THREE months of uptime at a compairable host, with bukkit and mod support, for the price mojang charges for one month. You get none of that with mojang. if you want to play vanilla, why not LAN???.
Hi I am tired of large servers, people just grief and troll there. I just want to play pure vanilla minecraft. I will be a very good player on your server, and I will not grief, or troll. Please allow me into your server. My username is walle303. Thank you very much!

I think that, if Mojang supported modded realms, and pre-configured available mods so that you only needed to select which mods to include, that the fees they're charging for these servers is reasonable. I'd certainly consider it.
As is, I can't get what I want from Mojang, and even if I wanted to play vanilla I could get the same thing from another host (with the same amount of effort) for less money.

JK.
But do a lotta people there even play minecraft? I know league of legends and counter strike has spread there.
Realms doesn't have a direct translation to spanish.

Feel free to argue with this comment.
Cheep Games!
Trust me it is worth it
