I'd love to see some interviews, but I'm not into everyone who's popular. Maybe someone lesser-known who's good at what they do could be featured? Of course, when it comes to content, some things are popular exactly because they're good.
Same here! Maybe some names that could be mentioned are YazurX, and his whole building team on AlphaCraft! (That isn't even a portion of what they've done...)
"What is Minecraft to you? What do you do in it? What are some of the best parts of it, or parts you think could be different?"
Minecraft to me is a place to have fun and meet friends. I go and push people off cliffs in servers. The best for me is the great method of PVP. ME GUSTA
I think the chat could be vastly improved, as well as the variety of animals and mobs in the game. Well, it's a great game i general, and is AWESOME!

Zu'u los drog!
I am secretly a modder, who works only for himself, seldom publishes.
Plain, pure and simple. A box waiting to be filled with wondrous things, and the tools to make them. A brilliantly crafted tool of the imagination that lacks little in terms of creative expression.
The only thing missing is a basic modding engine such as Warcraft 3 and the Elder Scrolls games have, which would well and truly fill in the learning curve for those who want to make the game unique, but can't code/texture/model with the available tools to do it.
I would be interested in interviews, specifically with modders. There's no way I'd get the information I wanted without doing it in person, but it's always interesting hearing how the gears turn in different peoples' minds.

To me, Minecraft is a game that I can play to relax since there's nothing in particular I need to do. I get to relax and play with all my friends, but at the same time go hard in PVP games
Minecraft was the first 3D sandbox game I ever got into, and my favorite part about it was seeing all the thriving communities on Minecraft Classic multiplayer. Too bad that’s all over now. That is the only thing I want to happen other than what you are already doing to Minecraft, remaking Classic multiplayer.
To be perfectly honest, Minecraft is my Solitaire. It often turns into what I play when I feel like playing a game but don't fee like putting much thought into what I'm doing. This can be both a good and bad thing, of course: Good because it fills the void, and bad because I quickly become bored and fall into the same rut of what to do with it all.
There are times when I wish there was a list of focused tasks to complete. Maybe a randomized list of challenges that comes up differently each time you start a new seed. Most of the achievements are really easy to complete and get done in the course of my aimless wandering. Perhaps it's time I started looking into quest mods to make things more eventful.
Overall, though, I like the art of Minecraft the most. By art, I mean the way the game randomly generates such beautiful landscapes and regions. Sometimes I will load a new seed just to walk around and see what mountain formations come to life. If anything, Minecraft is a wonderful way to travel without leaving the comfort of my home.
What is minecraft to me,
Minecraft is a sandbox game but its become so much more than that. Its a place to hang out with friends near and far.. To meet new friends. Its a place to explore and share.
Its a place teach things like Logic gates, troubleshooting and the basics of programing. via command blocks, redstone or server commands.
Its a place to record and let our Imaginations take over to express our self's through our builds, recording, or making a minecraft mini game we've always wanted to play. Then share it with others
Its a place to get away from the real world and feel good about getting an accomplishment either by making an build, running a server, coming out with a clothing line of skin's.
Minecraft to me is a place to be yourself meet new people. or go server Hopping with a group of friends.
to me Minecraft Is a D&d game where the admin/owner are they DungeonMaster and the players play the game. So it should be balanced.. Witch is way I still run a donation server. That anyone can play on for free.. and exparnce all of minecraft has to offer.
I think minecraft is perfect for teaching, learning, exploring, & discovering. Not only about the game but things about our self's.
This is one game I'll be playing for the rest of my life.
Thank you for all the work you guys do to make this game even better. and more stable
Keep up the good work.
Ps if we could have some way to have factions in vanilla so people could have protection long as there active on the server I would be so grateful. Thank you for your time and listening to us.

"What is minecraft to you?"
Like I tell everyone Minecraft is not an addiction it's a lifestyle choice (cus when you start playing minecraft that becomes your life weather you make money off it or not)
To me Minecraft is, at it's core, potential. Potential to build worlds, potential to create games, potential to do wonderful sometimes mind-blowing things. Especially with mods in the mix, Minecraft has to potential to be whatever you want it to be. That raw potential, and what people have done with it is what makes me love the game.
Also, I think it would be a great idea to interveiw well-known community members. There are people behind those mods, people with normal lives and working very hard to update to the newest version.

I used to fight for the glory of the Aldmeri Dominion.
Minecraft to me is Building,Destroying,Creating,Modding,And Much Much more
it is also about Surviving Or using the Creative/Cheats you can survive from monsters or play on easy, normal, hard
and even play Minecraft with freinds! not to forget it is INFINITE so that means there is no limit which is awesome that means
you can create tons of worlds and superflat ones! you can even try Minecraft Snapshots which are experamental sorry if i spelled it wrong but yeah thats what Minecraft is to me
I love to play MInecraft with my friends and it is the little stories that we take away from each session that are special to me. I love remembering that time when my friend nearly burned our whole house to the ground because he tried to make a fireplace. Minecraft lets me play with my friends and lets us do anything we can think of.
I love Minecraft because you can do ANYTHING in it. Personally I think it'd be boring if it were just vanilla single player. I love how it has something for everyone and and such a vast community. It has something for Gamers, Coders, Graphic Designers, and normal people who'd like to try something new. Minecraft's is an easy way to start learning any of the above. It's also a kick ass game with Multiplayer and Modding. IT's basically such an open ended game, it puts regular sandboxes to shame.
For me, Minecraft is an artist's tool. I was drawn to the game because it was all blocks, just like legos, and I could imagine building anything in this free, neverending world.
Later I discovered the Joys of playing minecraft with others. And through creative servers like Mithrintia and The Voxelbox, I could feel how my relationship with the mc community grew, and I felt that I really needed to contribute with something. And I found the high elite within mc building.
Today I look at minecraft as a place to meet friends, and as my personal artistic arena. I simply love the way mc is, and hopefully always will be; an everchanging community of artists, coders, friends, and all kinds of awesome people.
If you are going to interview important people from the society, I would love it if you could perhaps interview some of the top builders.
In regards to what Minecraft is (from my perspective anyway), I'd say it's a medium for near-infinite creativity. Unmodded it's rather limited, but add in some mods (or even better, make your own), and it can become a really awesome creative experience.
Granted, I'm not going to lie. A lot of the reason Minecraft is still really popular is because of the modders. There are some really awesome mods out there, like ThaumCraft or Ars Magica, which manage to extend the game so much without being repetitive.
But more to the point, with some of these mods (notably ones like Chisel or Tinker's Construct), your ability to be creative skyrockets. With only a few mods and a good imagination (and Creative mode of course), you can make amazing things- and depending on what you're doing, you might not even need mods to do it. (It entirely depends, though.)
While vanilla is still a bit lacking, I can tell that Mojang are trying to make up for that (albeit slowly), and they definitely seem to be catching up. Just, slowly.
Minecraft is basically how I've always wanted my life to be like: travel a new, undiscovered world and build your own home. I've spent a good portion of my life field living, and had it been in a world like Minecraft - and not this dump of a planet - I would probably still be doing it. Minecraft is also a learning experience for me: it helps me with cognitive thinking, critical thinking, expression, engineering, designing, etc. Minecraft, I think, should be it's very own genre of video game. And finally, currently being an Xbox player (I'm saving up to get a PC so I can do the real thing), I wish there were more possibilities, at least in terms of engineering. I think a lot of tweaks could be made to have a significant increase in capabilities. The mod I saw that I'm most interested in for when I get the PC version will be the redstone paste, being able to wire redstone on walls and ceilings, and also those diodes that have alternate outputs. Having these would change things so much for my engineering, I would find myself saying 'this could be way more efficient' less often. In the end though, Minecraft is easily one of my favorite games, even after avoiding it for years not knowing what the point was and knowing how easily it could suck me in. Eventually I succumbed, and now I'm a diehard fan of Minecraft!

Minecraft is about having your own place, no rules.
Minecraft is creation.

Then don't play it and don't respond to this topic.
I trust you to click those dragons and an egg, even though you probably won't.
I am watching you '_' ...
That would be awesome!

I have so many answers....
Minecraft gave me a opportunity to create, it allowed me to express my feelings and creations better because I feel sometimes miss under stood.....
It allowed my imagination that was huge to be a googlplex larger.....
It helped me through tough times and sheltered me like a turtle in a shell...
It helped me make friends too...
And it still to this day and forever be my favorite game.
Thanks to Notch and Jeb_ From my Heart...
