If you have an iPad/iPod/iPhone with Minecraft on it... I really wouldn't get too excited. It will take a LONG, LONG, LONG time for Apple to approve this. You know what they are like. >_>
Of course, now I say this it will most likely take a day.

I'm not heavily pressed for an update as of now, but future updates would be nice.
Right now though, what I REALLY want it to know where to get that Creeper plush!
It even has a "sqeeze me" sticker at the bottom.... XX3
WHERE ARE THESE!?
Here in Australia it's summer, and when it's Winter it's boring because it doesn't snow here.
But it's like sitting in an oven it's that hot. And now it's been raining a bit. Some crazy weather...

Enough about snow. I say we find an answer to this question. :3
All I gotta say is thank 'effing god. As it stands now, the game is completely lackluster and waaaay overpriced for the ios market. The world is too small and the app itself sucks down power like frat boys on a weeknight bender. I will say that it is well coded and feels solid ... the game is just dull without the limitations. I'll probably hold from playing until crafting gets implemented.
We are not getting Survival Mode in Minecraft Pocket in February, and Mojang said nothing of the sort. This is the second time I've seen a pretty misleading news post on the front page about future plans. This is what he actually said about the February 8th update.

What will the update include?
In the background a lot of stuff has changed to support the survival aspects of the game. You will see some neat looking animals and new blocks. Crafting won’t be in this update since we need to redesign the GUI for it and it will need some iteration and thinking. But the great part is that the foundation for survival will be mostly done and we can throw out much more fun updates! Yay! :biggrin.gif: And hopefully the progress of the updates will be much more faster. Oh, and of course some bug-fixing have been done too. Doors and fences will be in there it too!
Awesome, I am really looking forward to Survival Mode for the Minecraft-Pocket Edition. I like playing this on my itouch when I am on a break at work, so adding survival will make it even better and it will really feel like Minecraft for the PC.
I am not sure why they were not going to add it in the first place. Creative is nice but there is only so much you can do before it starts getting boring, well for me anyway. I only use Creative when I am trying to come up with a build, learning how to use redstone and testing out a world seed. So thank you Mojang for adding survival, I can't wait for it to come out. Also thank you for listening to the fans of the Minecraft-Pocket Edition, it really means a lot.
Winter mods huh? I've yet to find an alpha-esque snow-everywhere-all-the-time mod.

Christianity in a nutshell: We have all sinned, so we deserve eternity in hell. But God (God the Father, God the Son, and the Holy Spirit) loved us so much he sent His Son to die for us, to take the punishment meant for us. All we need to do is accept it, and we have heaven headed our way.
it usually takes about a week...not that bad...

Not here. In Rochester, the average winter highs are in the mid 20's, now it's 35-40
(from http://mojang.com/2012/01/08/where-is-my-update/)
No mention of hostile mobs, infinite terrain generation, or caves and explicitly no crafting.
