1.7.6pre2 is out, the first second pre-release (yes that made sense) of one version since Beta 1.9. I hope now they don't do what they normally do anymore, i.e. 1.4pre (bugs), 1.4.1pre (bugs), 1.4.2pre, 1.4.2 (released!), 1.4.3pre (bugs), 1.4.4pre, 1.4.4 (released!), etc, to make it easier to keep track of versions.
This is awsome!! I like the Idea A lot! But what if antvenom changed his name and someone at the same time took his name. Now antvenom would be stuck without his normal name??? Right?

I am not sure how the whole name thing will work. Ok for example lets say "JoeMinecraft" gets banned from a server well all Joe has to do is get a new email address and just create a new user name and then he is back on the server again. How are they going to prevent that from happening?

Nope, that won't work, the user database on servers and on Mojang side won't be held with standard username but instead a unique UUID that can't be changed, this will make sure the guy is still banned on a server even if he change his name.

So happy with the Name changing. Probably going to be one of the best things that has happened to the game! I can finally fix my name so it goes with my youtube channel! xD
what if "Foo" is caught flying but changes his name and claims that he knows Foo and he was being hacked or something in that area?
That will probably the most painful stuff for server admins and moderators, that is mainly why I want them to make sure we can't change our names every 10 seconds and we will have to keep a name for a certain amount of time between a week and 1 month at least, all the others that want quick name changes have something wrong with them and probably want to cheat/hack/fly/grief or other bad stuff I forgot to mention here, there is no valid reason for changing your username every 10-20 seconds seriously.
