isnt it ALOT simpler to just make a chest about 5-6 blocks off the ground then creeper explosion or tnt explosions cant reach that high. but you can still jump and access your chest all you want. i dont htink i need all this crazy stuff.

Or as I do...put it somewhere where I know Creepers won't spawn, and then under the floor where no-one will think to look.
