How is that contradictory? There are bugs, they put out a bugfix snapshot, they ask people to let them know if the bugfix-change caused bugs of their own or if they missed some bugs. Yes, they could off course spend weeks testing every single scenario on their own but the snapshots are a way to let the community help them do this quicker.
Because they say
"We CAN'T fix bugs if you don't report them!!!"
and then
"Oh, and we also fixed more bugs that weren't reported"
Because what they should have really said was:
"We can't fix bug we aren't aware of, so please report a bug that you find if it's not yet reported (don't forget to search for it first!)"

"I'm an outsider by choice, but not truly.
It’s the unpleasantness of the system that keeps me out.
I’d rather be in, in a good system. That’s where my discontent comes from:
being forced to choose to stay outside.
My advice: Just keep movin’ straight ahead.
Every now and then you find yourself in a different place."

Remember when pre-releases where every 1/2 month and you had to manually install them, And nobody complained. Pepperidge farm remembers.

If the cake is a lie........ does that mean if i build a house out of cake my house isn't real?
Your sense of style is pathetic , I always look to java programers for style , because where ever they are , they always have .class.
On a superflat world in which I am currently working on an adventure map I have come across a strange bug.
An L - shaped section of chunks suddenly causes my fps to drop from 60ish to below 5. The chunks in which this happens has very few if any blocks in them that would normally initiate lag (Ex: Redstone)
I noticed this bug in an earlier snapshot a few weeks ago. So far I have only experienced it on this one world.I haven't found it on any others yet.
How about bug fixing villager farming for wheat!!!!
Village Farmers that use wheat eventually have there inventory clogged up due to the need to handle 3 different item types (seed, wheat, bread) whcih eventually results in the village farms no longer picking up harvests, and no longer planting new crops. MC-48735
This is a serious issue that needs to be resolved!!!!!
Has anyone noticed a bug where baby zombies don't burn during daytime? Or the fact that you can see through vines through one side? Those are some pretty annoying bugs I'm sure have been reported, but just in case I will report it. (I hate non-burning baby zombies -.-)

I think the non-burning of baby zombies is intentional... I just hate baby zombies altogether, and wish they were either removed altogether or at the very least optional. Seriously, who at Mojang thought that was a good idea? For a funny mod, sure; for vanilla Minecraft, no way. Baby zombie pigmen look even more ridiculous.

There's an easy fix for that. Have a non-farmer nearby so then the farmer will craft wheat into bread or use his bread to give to the villager. That opens up space eventually for seeds. Or you can just give all farmers 8 stacks of seeds.

A lion does not concern himself with the opinion of sheep.
I don't know about the Mod API, maybe they can get just some fixes in...and maybe the new update will fall aroung early March, late Febuary.
