OMG~!!! They are adding four whole flowers, 3 biomes, new menus, achievements, and changes to fishing...
Ok so that is what about a week or two for a real programmer ...What do the 33 employes of Mojang do with their time at work just play?
Really if you look at some of the larger mods they only have a few people(or even just one) working on them and they put out bigger and better updates....they really are about the lamest game company out there right now...thank god for all the mod makers...lol.
We wouldn't use that excuse if it wasn't for Mr. idiot zombie about 3 pages back.
And if you want put in mods easier, I've got 2 words for you.
MultiMC. And Magic Launcher.
Oh yeah, don't forget MCPatcher.
Yeah, these bugs are really annoying, Minecraft 1.8.1 better be the bug update.
Oh yeah, no thanks. I got some Full heals, so I'll just sell this, kthnxbai!
biomes, douche.
Magic launcher looks fugly, but it is what I have been using. Also maybe read up since MultiMC isn't even updated to 1.6.2 because of the dam (hoover edition) new launcher, another thing to complain about another day.
MCPatcher, lmao no. Optifine is the way to go.
Using those launchers doesn't fix the fact that mods are incompatible, or outdated. Look at freakin' redpower, although I will blame the lazy mod author for that, eloram or some crap.
Seriously, did they already release the update that you think it's the only thing they are working on?
I've only played Minecraft for 1 1/2 month now, but I've been watching YouTube videos of it's gameplay for over a year and a half, as I watch those videos it made me realize that Minecraft is:
1. The only game that keeps updating itself (which I understand Modders that patiently.. umm, agonizingly wait for an API so they don't have to do the work, and put all the effort unto Mojang, who may I remind some people that has other game as well that they develop)
2. Not just an adventure game, it's a sandbox - which some people here forget, it's not just an adventure game because:
a) Creative Mode (Enough said)
You could be a redstoner, farmer, builder.. etc.
c) You can change the whole world completely thru Resource Packs.
d) It's the platform for mini games like Hunger Games, Hide N Seek, Spleef, Quakecraft, and more varities of Mini Games.
e) Adventure maps - for adventure suckers to quench their thirst.
f) Really just anything, you can recreate the Death Star, or the Middle Earth or Hogwarts, or your favourite Hockey teams arena.
You can make a huge array of note blocks to the tune of your favourite song. It's up to you.
3. It reinvents itself. The imagination is up to you.
I understand that they may have said something about updating certain aspect of the game, but they never lift up they right hand and swear that they would add it immediately or add it whenever you want to for YOUR OWN convenience. The fact that your expecting them to do something you want them to is not their problem, but yours. You want dragons? Others want fairies, others want sharks, others want Aether, others don't want horses, others are apparently allergic to sunflowers by mere seeing them, others are just unhappy in general. Those people who constantly want things will never be happy. If you love something, love it for what it is, not what it could become, otherwise it's a potential problem, not with the thing you love, but a problem of yours with that thing you love.
Not to mention, people are already crying bloody murder for "ruining" the game or turning it into "another game" just 'cause they added sunflowers, when they haven't even mentioned what it fully does. All these complaining is just PURE speculation on what these things may bring. People act like the sunflowers is probably the key to beat the Ender dragon. LOL
Also, bugs. Everytime you add new things to a program it will have bugs. They are fixing bugs, fixing the random world generator at the same time adding these diverse biomes by correlating them with the other. I saw one post about how they'll miss snow biomes next to sand ones, and to that again I say people who constantly want things will never be happy which is an irony of playing a game. I'm a computer science student and I KNOW how a simple program that uploads a picture edit it in 5 different options can take a day to do, comparing it to a vast game of already developed codes, adding new textures, adding new functions or events to a code, and the most significant thing in coding... TEST, test, test, and test again. They say they have two months to work on it, yes, they also have personal lives, also ever heard of stress? Lots of modders know codes and numbers, but how well do you know your own body? Testing a code and finding bugs, or errors that will crash a game will take time. Like it or not.
Someone mentioned a modder making mobs and new blocks in 48 hours, I want proof. Not just hear say.
Lastly, you haven't even seen the whole update and you're already whining? You bought the rights to play the game, not the game itself, not the company, not the Mojang employees. So don't act like they're entitled to do what you want.

There is something about fan boys that really pull my strings, and that is that they don't understand simple concepts that actually make logical sense and incorporate that to arguments. They like to:
Be sheep and follow what others say, be it famous people or what not instead of finding out and making opinions on their own.
Be sheep and blindly follow a brand name because they decide the alternative thinking route is impossible to support (aka in this case disliking mojang or agreeing somewhat a mistake they made). A great example is Sony Driods hating on the Xbox One where there really isn't anything else to hate on. Both good systems, a discussion for another day.
..and he continues

Actually, when some company says something is done, I expect it to be. You should understand this very simple concept called Consumer Trust. A game company especially needs this, look at freakin' Microsoft with the so called 'Xbone'. I could go and give you a 5 page essay to why this is important, but short story said, it shouldn't take as long as what Mojang is doing to release these features, API and that bucket list of things they said they would implement. Back in summer 2012, we all thought the Mod API would be released with 1.3 (or 1.4 i can't remember) near Christmas. Well it's a year later and we are still waiting for that dam (hoover) api.

This is when I flip the table in rage as you clearly fan boy it out here.
Oh where do I start.......
They have a snapshot system for a freakin' reason. Go to any other game, or company-- i'll say EA here. Any bugs that are found are normally fixed in no longer than 2 weeks. A big gaming corp right. Keep in mind many of the bugs in the game have been around since the official release of Minecraft, way longer than it should take for any solo person to fix the bugs, like lighting and what not, at least they are fixing THAT.
Sprint bug though, nope they made it worse.
Not to mention you like to say they have lifes. wtf man, it is their JOB, plain and freakin' simple. I didn't pay 25 dollars for men sitting playing pong or dota 2, and I bet the other 11 million would have not paid someone to do that either. And stress? Freakin' heck dude do you even think before you put words on the screen?
I also didn't pay 25 dollars for a buggy as all hell game. I played since, and would have probably thought twice about paying for a buggy mess if I would have known that would be the route it was going to go.
Someone mentioned a modder making mobs and new blocks in 48 hours, I want proof. Not just hear say.

I don't care what features they add as long as they add the ones they promised. 'Nuf said
Wheres my dam (hoover) burn heal.
Okay, sunflowers. MAYBE I was wrong about them being horrible and stuff. But... I don't really see why everyone is getting so excited over them. I mean, they're certainly CONVENIENT, but really, can't we just tell the direction we're facing from the sun/moon? it's not that hard, all you have to remember is to
Never
Eat Waffles
Soggy
Pretty simple.
Then again, I AM kind of a melodramatic person... Not trying to hate, but...
I'm going to reply to only half of this as everything else doesn't really apply to me, and I can partially agree with some.

LOL you hit a low when you call people names.
Really if this game is becoming a bother to you then stop playing it. You think with all these whining they will all quit their job so you can take over it. There's a HUGE difference between planned, promised, and proposed. Developing, that's their job, but do you expect someone to do their job 24/7? Doctors don't do that, even Walmart employees don't do that, it's common sense to acknowledge stress especially when you're in front of the computer all day without any social interaction whatsoever. How about drop your keyboard and talk to people sometime, no?
If they lost your trust, or you're disappointed by what they did or didn't do, why so clingy? It's like when you don't trust your bf anymore after you saw him cheat on you, and still date him, but whine all day by saying he cheats on you everytime you're not with him. xD
You paid 25 dollars for a game. But you didn't own the right to question the game developers ability to do their job. Ultimately, Notch handed over the job to these guys for a reason, not just 'cause he didn't want to deal with whiny consumers. Again, you bought the game to play it, not to have eternal reign over it. You bought a game 2 years ago, that you can still play today, without doing the same things over and over again. How often can you say that with Super Mario, or Tetris, or GTA, or QWOP? I think if anything, compared to other games, you got what you paid for. $25 is nothing compared to $30 Pokemon games that you can only play once or twice and after a month or so, you forget about it, or compared to the new $50 dollar Sim City game which you can never play offline and has more bugs than Minecraft.
Problem with whiners is that they describe the game like they can't even play it. Like it doesn't work anymore. Thing is, if something frustrates you so much, why don't you just leave it? Do us a favour, please.
Ok guys, i have to admit it, the idea of the flower is kind of dumb, like other people have said you have the f3 menu, then again some people dont have the f keys. So it will be helpful to some people....
And the falling particles, most of the people that play minecraft have crap for a computer, but other than that i think it will be cool, most people run tiny, minimal particles, and also no smooth lighting or anything like that, so i don't get the point of it. (technically it was copied from plugins on minecraft servers, think of on some hunger games servers, that when you fall or get hurt the redstone breaks at your feet...)
I am still looking forward to future updates, but I swear if a circle ever comes to minecraft...
I get the feeling that the sunflower won't be able to stay planted on grass. Why else would he put the stone barrier between the grass and the dirt the flower is planted in? Maybe so you can better see the stem?
I want more than just Sun Flowers and a new biome, I want more types of horses like realistic types like Quarter, Appaloosa and Clydesdale. Also fix the texture for the Lapis Lazuli, make the launcher look nicer and fix the lighting bug with the half-slabs.
I really hope they add Clydesdales. Those magnificent gentle giants are amazing. Of course, Clydesdales would require a new mob entirely, as they're more sturdily built. That, and they're huge.
Okay, sunflowers. MAYBE I was wrong about them being horrible and stuff. But... I don't really see why everyone is getting so excited over them. The sunflowers aren't there for direction-telling. That's just a plus. They exist for the aesthetics, like all of the other plants (excluding trees and grass) in Minecraft.

Sigh.. If calling you a fan boy makes me seem low, it's not like i'm calling you a moron or anything;
Think of it like an annoying trait though, here is a tissue.
See you fit with line one with my 2 bullet point list of a typical fanboy:
Be sheep and blindly follow a brand name because they decide the alternative thinking route is impossible to support (aka in this case disliking mojang or agreeing somewhat a mistake they made). A great example is Sony Driods hating on the Xbox One where there really isn't anything else to hate on. Both good systems, a discussion for another day.
I paid money and I don't have a reason to question it? What is this, China? Are you trying to say we can't give opposite opinions just because you do not support it? Well too bad sir, this is a public forum. 25$, 50$, 100$, hell even 5$, I paid money to someone, and in return I expect great things.
Also, that is a terrible example. as there would have to be a third entity, not just a date or bf or whatever route you want to take it. I like Minecraft, I hate Mojang. Big difference then in your example, you think I hate Minecraft.
And as I said (you clearly ignored a part of my post so you could ramble on your failure argument) I never really hated the updates, aside from the sprinting bug being made worse. I just hate them leaving out the API and being a lazy sheets.
Whiners can be annoying, if they persistently can't be pleased. I am already pleased enough with the current version but this is just ridiculous.
And telling anyone to leave a community because they want in on the discussion and have a different opinion then yours is just as bad as calling anyone a fanboy >_>
