For everyone complaining about no change logs.... It was FUN before when there would be secret updates. Everyone would play and try to figure out what was changed. Do you guys remember the SECRET FRIDAY UPDATES? Those were all really fun. That was before we had an entire community that can just look in the .jar to see what has been changed. But, for you who don't see the fun in this, there is a thing called the wiki that tells you what is in the snapshots.
Yes, they were fun. However, these are not those updates. These are here so that a wide pool of players may test the game and find bugs. In order to do that, people need to know what they should be trying to test for. Which they cannot do, because the changes are secret...and no, the wiki is not the answer. Mojang does not maintain the wiki. It's a fan project, representing only what fans have been able to figure out, i.e. practically useless for this purpose.
Maybe it's hinting at red dragons because in the picture there's a dragon egg..and..uh...and the only thing they added (besides the minecart/command block) is red sand...and..red dragons and red sand are both red...and half life 3..
Ok I found out a good way to help you all find a Mesa. Look for deserts and lightly forested plains you will have a high chance of finding near one of them. Wont be all the time but I tryed a few seeds and they seem to work.
Red dragons would fit rather well in Mesa Biomes. Especially since mesas are rare according to the wiki. Plus, it would serve as a guardian for all of that free clay. Only time will tell if this is a troll or a hint.
Red sand looks very nice. The fix to the slabs/boats bug though, is clearly the most important and best part of this update. That bug has been bugging me ever since I bought Minecraft.
Assuming for a moment that the mesa egg means that we're getting red dragons (which Mojang has previously stated will likely be tameable), I wonder if that means that the Ender Dragon egg will produce a tameable baby Ender Dragon.
I figure that it must, since otherwise the new eggs render the reward for defeating the Ender Dragon even less special than it already is.
Strange, those secret changes. The snapshots are supposed to be public test versions, but it seems that Mojang is now treating them a little bit like official updates. And there are still no new saplings and or wood logs and leaves for the new trees, so I hope that they will still implement them in one of the next snapshots.
Well since Jeb has been the one mostly doing the Biome stuff and he's been out of town that isn't too surprising...
