Why aren't the cool new fish seen swimming? Why can I catch saltwater fish in a pond? Not complaining!
You can see them swim and bite the hook now so they're stepping in the right direction
it would be pretty neat if there was some way to change it so you could only catch salmon in the river biomes and the clown and pufferfish in the ocean ones.
I love the new flower forest biome since there are TONS of flowers in it. Also I like how the ice pillars biome looks. Has anyone else seen it other than me?
I actually haven't been able to find that biome even with a good hour or two of flying around I had to settle for screenshots.
Sorry for the noobish question but how do I get this?
Really simple, open up the launcher and in the button left hit new profile and rename it to something like snapshot then tick the box that says "enable experimental..." then hit save profile.
You should then be able to switch between playing the snapshot and 1.6 pretty easily.
Also, if you swing the fishing pole into the water too close to you, it levitates.
And, if you're holding a bottle of water breathing potion, when you change back to 1.6.2, it's called an artless potion... I have never heard of that in vanilla 1.6. (which isn't really a bug but I found it interesting).
I must say that I'm highly overwhelmed by the amount of great things that have been added in this single snapshot! The new world generation and new biomes are simply amazing. Other updates such as the fishing improvements are remarkable as well.
Might have been posted but I was setting fire to a roofed forest and I accidentally hit a creeper with my flint and steel and it ended up exploding (I was in creative), then found out it was supposed to be a "Minecraft PE Exclusive" thing. So I guess we can trigger creepers now...
Found a bug in which if you have lure and luck of the sea in one fishing rod you can not catch anything
Edit:Guys help when i got at 10 posts i can not write anything i can only edit please help me
Survival seems like it would be a pain in the ass on Amplified though. You know how much more difficult collecting resources would be? It's already annoying enough to dig up 100 blocks into a mountain lol. Now you can dig up 250 blocks, theoretically. Also, coal doesn't generate above a certain point (cloud level possibly?).
Then again, that could be the appeal of it for some people.
I also imagine that feather falling would be super valuable on, say, an Amplified server (if such a thing ever comes around).

True.
But just imagine how awesome it would be to build your settlement on one of those badass amplified mountains...

Forgot to add this to the list of bugs?

I am most definitely playing survival with this setting.
