Nah man, Grum is Mojang's response to all of those "add herobrine" requests. He's basically like herobrine, but instead of griefing or scaring you he will build you a castle and give you diamonds in exchange for dirt blocks. He also serves to quell the masses complaining that the game is too hard

Fonts bug in HD packs hasn't been solved yet. They say that they are working on it, but with the latest snapshot, it's still there
