That's cool, but with the new launcher, I can't test the new snapshots anymore, since I can't connect to the Internet from my home computer anymore -(
I hope at least I'll find a jar for when 1.6 is out...

The good:
*Stained hardened clay: This will add a lot of potential for builders. I'm definitely planning to use this. I can't say dying clay makes much sense, but it's still aesthetically pleasing.
*New Lapiz Block texture: It looks absolutely awesome!
The Bad:
*New Charcoal texture: It really doesn't fit well in my honest opinion. I might just retexture it to be coal in my default texture pack edit.
*New Coal Block texture: It looks too much like obsidian and/or crying obsidian.
The Meh:
*"Made mobs spawn in groups again": I thought they already did, but I guess I was mistaken.
Donkey/Mule inventories: I don't plan on using horses and mules (Retextured horses), so this doesn't affect me. Besides, if I want a moveable inventory, I'll just carry an enderchest and silk touch pick.
Mules aren't retextured horses... neither are donkeys. They have their own model.
Seriously, charcoal should be removed, making wood smelt right to coal. I mean, we have apples dropping from oak trees, and paper and sugar from the same reed plant, as well as hay bales made from wheat. Two similar items doing exactly the same thing, thought not with the same texture anymore, just doesn't make that much sense compared to the rest of the game.

I don't see why you can't just use the new launcher. It adds new folders and doesn't edit your jar at all. You can switch between the new and old laucnhers without any issues.

No, they're simply retextured and have the ability to have chests on them. I know how you can jump to that conclusion because of the ears, but they both use the same model. The difference between horses and donkeys/mules is the ability to put chests on the donkeys/mules. Horses still even have the chests in their texture. If you really wanted, you could add the donkey ears to horses also, because they use the same model.
Digging the colored clay blocks, but I feel the cyan clay should have a bit more of a cyan tint to it. It looks more like a dark gray compared to the other stone/neautral colored blocks.
HEY, I DON'T KNOW WHO ELSE IS EXPERIENCING THIS! but, everytime I press the TAB button to see what players are on the server, it shows a small black box at the TOP and no one's name is there... :\ even when the server is full! so if anyone has a way of contacting mojang and telling them that would VERY VERY VERY greatly apprieciated... thanks!
EDIT:
Apperantly, I'm not the only one seeing Elmo.

It's not impossible. It's just really, really hard.
Did you know I write Science Fiction? Well I do. Check it out at http://planetretcon.com/books/
YAY MINECRAFT IS 4!! *sniff* We've come a long way :')
I wonder if that guy is a hint at something to come, or if he's just there for the lulz
I hate it when people don't bother to have a look at ANY of the previous posts before spewing their ideas out. For the millionth time...
IT'S GRUM (one of the Mojang employees), NOT ELMO!!!!
On a side note, nice to see the coal block texture has changed. Used to look a bit much like a retextured Block of Redstone to me.

Also maybe add colored wood to the next snapshot? I heard it was to be added, and now I NEED it.
