Give modders time to catch up? Naaaaahhh, jeb hates modders, but he loves ripping them off.

As a student with three geology classes under my belt, I can safely tell you that Deserts are known for their extreme temperatures. The heat is what people like to notice the most though. Deserts are just as easily covered in snow, though usually just freezing cold and blistering heat, because of their lack of moisture.
Just sayin, it is possible.
Please point out in the world where a hot desert of sand is bordered by a frozen tundra
That said, it's never bothered me all that much because Minecraft.
So, what I know about zombies so far:
-They follow you even if you move really far away!
-if you attack one, any other near by will attack as well
-when you attack them, there is a small chance of another zombie spawning nearby.
-spawning seems to happen whenever they are injured, not just when you attack them. Example, use zombie eggs to spawn a whole bunch of then during the day time and it starts raining flaming zombies!
-I just realised zombies do not burn if they have a helmet.

I only spawned zombies in the hole.
EDIT 1: The zombies get VERY laggy and glitchy once there are more than a few dozen!
EDIT 2: If the new zombie behaviour is kept (minus the bugs), I expect to see some large scale zombie XP farms.
EDIT 3: just noticed there is a "name tag" under tools.
I'm thinking they'll probably take the zombie spawning under control in the coming snapshots. At the moment it seems to be a little bit overkill at times.

I'm you could make a farm out of that. Have it so it keeps spawning more zombies while keeping one that keeps getting hurt in a room somewhere.

Does anyone else think that they've increase the speed of Iron Golem's when they're attack hostile mobs? I kind of see a faster pace when they walk but it could be nothing.
I'm thinking the zombie change needs to be nerfed...or made a hard/hardcore only mechanic. It's should also be changed to only activate when the damage is caused by a player. I wonder if this is their way of discouraging the use of zombie grinder/xp farms? Either way i don't like the change but if it's staying then it needs to be fine tuned still. Think of how this will affect custom maps. Starting a CTM map just became even more dangerous!
Having them multiply when burned by sunlight is obviously a bug, that part absolutely has to go.
Having them multiply in general is just bad -- on top of the last round of buffs, it's going to be lethal to people starting a world, absolutely lethal to beginners, and downright nasty in Hard mode.

I did some CraftTweaker scripts for Mystical Agriculture. They fill in a couple of small gaps in MA, and also let you make or duplicate not only vanilla plants, but the blocks, plants and wood from Quark and Biomes O'Plenty. Also spawn eggs for most vanilla mobs! The scripts are here on Github.
