Can't wait as well.....this will be one of the greatest updates so far....also want to know what the new scary mob will be? Does anyone have any ideas?
Maybe the trick is there will be no npc's in the villages, just abandoned houses with treasures inside, also im sure there will be silverfish that are a new mob (as it is in the mobs folder) hopefully some extra ones will come out too, maybe the creepers cousin? undead warriors for the ruins maybe? hopefully this wont take up too many resources would hate this to become lagcraft
- Giant red and brown mushrooms.
- NPC villages/houses
- Stone brick, mossy stone brick, crumbled stone brick
- Some kind of iron gate looking thing (NOT an iron door)
- Underground ravines (I'm guessing that's what the big gap in the village is)
That's what I can see in the pictures...There might be more stuff, who knows.
i think the "gate" , may be cobwebs, they are already a part of the game, but you cant find them, unless you got single player commands. maybe they will be of use to add more adventure to the game, top screens mojang, looking forward to it :smile.gif: oh and the giant mushroom, keep that bad boy :wink.gif:
Wow is all I can think of the idea of ruins to explore and use as my new home as I am primarily a spelunker and spend hours underground this would be awesome
dont worry im sure notch wouldn't just throw out the whole "alone" feel to the game, if anything notch will just make the NPCs be goblins or pigmen or something of the sort. but the ruins look horrible imo.
It's clearly not cobwebs. The gate thing is in the MIDDLE of the block and aligned along the X/Z axes. It also is grey and is largely comprised of vertical lines.
It doesn't look like a spiderweb at all. Lines are totally straight. There is just a lot of aliases so it doesn't come out well.
Pics look great, I think that after 1.8, and 1.9, most of the people who are still on the minecraft fence will get on board.
The mushrooms looks cool. People are complaining about graphics in MINECRAFT? And these screens are very early, 1.8 is months away.
The villages will give you something to do when just mining + building gets boring. And anything that adds variety to gameplay, even if it might get in the way, is a good thing in my opinion.
I do hope that they improve the look of the houses in the village. I'm sure they will. They all have sort of the same design, and it's a bit typical.
<-- See what I did there? Constructive criticism. Some of you should try it.
