I like farlanders, because it sounds more mysterious, but chose endermen. Endermen sounds more creepy and fear-inducing which is what fits the... intent of the creature. I don't know, once you're experienced in the game they don't seem too scary anymore.
Enderman just sounds corny and stupid. I hate to even think of them as men, I think of them as people who have gone to limbo or maybe just pure embodiments of magic/evil/darkness/any of the pre-mentioned. I much, much prefer the name Farlander, because the Far lands are creepy, scary, and they look like a MOB that comes from that realm.
