Im still wondering why you need 7 bonemeal for something that yeilds one piece of wheat.
I say either lower the bonemeal count to 2-3 or give wheat a buff, maybe have it drop 3-4 pieces. At least that way it would be worth it to use the bonemeal on it.
Even as wheat is now, I see very little worth to it. Meat is just as easy to farm and gives plenty more hunger.
I use bonemeal for 2 things:
STARTING a wheat farm and maintaining a tree farm.
At the start when I need wheat to make bread, I'm not going to have killed 7 skeletons already, especially with their new buff. I agree with the tree nerf but not with the crop nerf. However, I think that everyone will have forgotten this a week after 1.5 because bonemeal is useless once you have a decent farm going. Suggestion: bonemeal + lapis + rotten flesh = embalming fluid. Three in one! If anyone can think of what it could do... Maybe used in brewing or enchanting?
If people don't want to see things handed to them and make the game harder, then they should, I don't know, nerf the caves? The day they add variety(as in big caves like these are still able to generate, but we can also get smaller caves). Nerfing bonemeal is just a dumb move when so many other things could be nerfed. *Sigh* I am not liking some decisions by Mojang. Like the sounds(C418 said they would be optional, but NOPE!), changing things for the sake of changing them is not good game planning.
Meh, the only thing you NEED bone meal for are the huge trees* (more please using the other saplings!).
Everything else grows naturally eventually. 7 for one wheat is a bit ridiculous though.
has anyone checked to see how many bone meal is required for the large trees? it would make sense to need 2 bone meal for EACH of the 4 saplings, and only then it will grow into a huge tree.
EDIT: *and flowers/tall grass and large mushrooms, forgot about them!
Making mobs afraid of tracks was a bad idea, now all someone needs to do in order to protect a village is lay track pieces strategically. Wouldn't it just be easier to make mobs killed by moving minecarts, or have mobs get flung out of the way? Heck, mobs could just be afraid of moving minecarts? I suppose it'd be hard to get them into them, then.

Anything can be done strategically. You can fence your village off strategically. I for one welcome this mechanic, getting a bit tired of my minecart contraptions getting broken by a stupid zombie chillin' on the tracks. Although I'd agree that mobs being afraid of (moving) carts could actually be a more sensible solution. Either way, I'm glad this one's in.
As for the bonemeal issue, I'm not really fretting over it too much, it makes sense and it doesn't. Although 7 to grow 1 measly wheat crop is a bit stupid, you need wheat fast because you're poor. Who the hell is gonna waste 7 meals on 1 wheat crop? I suppose it may now be about advancing a stage of 7 crops by 1 rather than fully growing 1 but surely done this way because it was a trivial programming change, 1 meal-1 stage stage, no big whoop. And with so many complaints the next things we'll get is 20-stage growth for trees - to get things more in logical balance
the bone meal nerf is abit dumb. 7 uses for 1 thing of wheat? thats 21 uses for 1 piece of bread that does what 2 hunger?. i like the idea of 2-3 uses or a crop and 7-10 uses on a tree. Also it makes much more sence and logic. If they want the game "harder" then why not makes 2-3 bone meal per crop and 7-10 per tree? hmmm? a tree grants far more then crops plus starting a farm ( with no mods or anything ) can be abit to much of a challenge. why? cause all i would have is a stone sword and no armor.Unless you risk being killed and looseing everything.Just to get some bones for bonemeal to get some food. sorry to anyone who supports the insane 7 uses for 1! crop idea but its completely dumb.plus i think new players may not like that nerf either.
i love the new dispencers placeing up and down. This means more traps and other things. that is the only real plus i see in this update.

I can see what you see not, vision milky then eyes rot. When you turn they will be gone, whispering there hidden song. Then you see what can not be, shadows move where a light should be.Out of darkness, out of mind, cast down into the halls of the blind.

Orrrr it is a twenty stage growth and they really just forgot a 0 at the end of the code o.O
quit ing and play, go creative you've given them enough flack they'll probably change it back No need to get all inna huff. Thanks for releasing constant updates though! UPDATE ALL THE THINGS!
Doesn't anyone think that they're being a bit pre-emptively self-righteous about this?
"I don't use it so it's a great idea to nerf it" - Really, people...?
As far as I can tell, Mojang never makes changes without a reason behind it. It may not immediately be obvious when they first happen, but we have seen in the past that changes relate to further, future changes that turned out really well. Before we all start comdemming or worshipping changes in snapshots (which are TEST changes, I might add) and getting on each others backs about our varied opinions on them, maybe we should wait and see what these current changes relate to in future updates. Nobody makes extra work for themselves without good reason, so I really doubt that they do any of these changes for the hell of it.
"Don't let your arrow loose until you know that your aiming at a Creeper" is my advice. Be patient and wait until you are at least justified in your condemnations/worship later on, that way...at least it won't blow up on your fancy carpet.
The bonemeal thing should be based off the player´s difficulty.

A Newcomer to commentating. Mine aren't top notch yet, but I think I do a pretty good jeb. Sometimes my vides are jonk and a carn fest. My name isn't Kris or Marc IRL, it's Top Secret. I had a few YT accounts b4, but they were junk. That is all.

Besides, growing food doesn't take that long of a process.
Despite that... dibs on the TNT dispensers.
