I for one endorse the bone meal nerf. I felt that once I killed a single Skeleton, I was set for food. Now, I will have to work twice or seven times as hard. Nerfing bone meal was a good move Jeb_. Keep it up!
EDIT: WOAHWOAHWOAH WAIT. Is that dispenser SHOOTING TNT?
WANT
I agree, now we just have to put some more effort into farming crops. gives us more stuff to do in MC
I have a command block that's giving me problems. I set up a dummy objective (which I named Data) and now have the command block set up to a button. Ideally, when a player presses this button it would check to see if the player has a data value of 2, and if so would give them the sword. But my specifier is ineffective, if the objective of Data merely exists it will give the player the sword regardless of their score. I don't know why it's doing this, I've tried renaming the objective; tried adding different ranges; changing the required score; made sure command blocks were on; tried using the "testfor" command to check the score instead (same problem). I'll give anyone who presses the button a sword so long as the objective it's testing for exists (regardless of the player's score). Here's all the code that I tried that ignored the specifier, could I please have some help?:
you are missing a min and max specifier
so what you need to do is this
/testfor @p[score_Data_min=2,score_Data=2,r=(what ever range you want)]
and then in a new command block: /give @p[r=(must be > or = to the first command block range)] 276
use a comparator to separate the two command blocks. what the comparator will do is it will send a signal to the other command block and stay on until the /testfor command is false, if you don't like that you can just use a repeater and it will stay active for only the players who are in the bracket of the specifier. Oh and the command score_Data is case sensitive.
Edit: I just did a test, you need the comparator for the command /testfor to work.
I see this on every page. People cannot wait for a patch. Then it finally comes out and they wine because of bugs. We need to stop rushing the patches. It causes too much damage. 1.4 holds the record for the most fixes that was required after it's release. I would for once like to see a update come out that needs no bug fix patches.
Mojang should add the ability to put seeds down through dispensers and when you put hoppers underneath the farmland, when it is fully grown, the hopper takes them away. I know Mojang will probably do something close to this... probably.
Hmm, no news on Mod-API? Thats what I hoped the most for to see. At least something.
Maybe silly question but are the server-block-Ids send from server to client already or do you have to have a proper setup for each server you like to connect to?
I just mentioned it because the developers themselves already stated the new bonemeal is not balanced yet - it's a snapshot, don't forget - but still the people rant over it. Dinnerbone tweeted it two days ago and I posted this tweet here yesterday.
I looked over dinnerbone's tweets when this first come up, I didn't see it.
Your re-tweet message was posted after the message that I reply to, so I missed it.
Playing catch up is a kick in the bum.
....... Forge and ModLoader already installed......
What a good idea! That would save soooo much hassle for us mod-fans who have to take a day off every time there is a major upgrade. ...okay that is an exaggeration, but there are a huge proportion of us who have had to decide between modloader mods and Forge mods. It would be wonderful if there was an easy way for us to all be one big happy family, instead of this bipartisan dichotomy.

Creative Minecrafter. No build is ever really complete, just "waiting for a better/prettier mod".
Bone meal in it's current form is great for large scale farms and landscaping. remember, the only way to get grass and flowers is by using bone meal. the nerf would make it much harder to make beautiful and creative landscapes in survival mode. I just finished a large scale landscaping project on my server. It took a ton of bonemeal to just to make the grass grow. I still need a bunch more to get all the flowers I want.
iI get the feeling that many of you ner supporters would apporve if The guy wanted to make it to where you need 20 min to mine obby with anything less than efficienty 5 pick and a haste 2 beacon nearby.

It might be just me but the /spawnpoint command wasn't working for me. I'm making a Zombies map every time I change the spawn point. It pops up with "Your bed is missing or obstructed". Its either a bug in the snapshot or can someone help me. The command I did was [/spawnpoint @p 699 23 -147].
It shows up in my chat that it changed but it just doesn't work.
