*Fixed mining glass hiding the clouds behind the glass
What's this even mean? I'm trying to prep my world for the changes by fixing several glass oriented things to work post patch and this one is just hurting my brain trying to decipher. It's like notch glomped two statements together on accident. Any clarification on this?
If you had a piece of glass at cloud level, and were breaking it, the colour changed weirdly through the piece of glass
@KaijHatesCurseit doesn't matter if the forums is late with the updates.the player who posted the 1st update CANT put his post in the front page hence not being read by all players.======================does the spiderwebs naturally occur in 1.6 now??? i really need it for my SMP mob trap
Aww i liked my water ladders and water elevator. oh well i knew they were bugs anyways .. No more boosters .. My rollercoaster is ****ed i dont have enough gold to make boosters throughout my coaster..No more mobs spawning in light.. Damn i always like a nightime pork harvest ..The rest were really cool fixes .. The glitches really made the game fun ... well not all glitch..

I just LOVE that he is doing all these graphics bug fixes for SMP. It was killing me how SMP was buggy and stuff, but now, you have fixed SO MANY THINGS! ☺
*WARNING: NOOB PEACEFUL PLAYER ALERT- READ WITH CAUTION**Fixed monsters not being visible for players with their difficulty set to peacefulI'm sorry but...as a Minecraft builder (not a fighter)...am I the only one who is bit concerned about this "fix"? Perhaps I'm reading it wrong....
I'm wondering what new bugs will pop up. This is impossible to avoid but I am curious to see how big the impact of those new bugs will be.But either way awesome and very much needed update. Some bugfixes aren't wanted (minecart boosters) but that's what you get when you leave a bug in for a long time. Also: hatches :biggrin.gif:
I have a feeling he made them so they don't generate game breaking speeds anymore. Likely they work in a logical manner now where the one carts speed transfers over rather than transferring over tenfold. I fully expect to see pearsquirels minecart station that uses a cart to bump the other one into place still working after the patch, as well as docms few dozen stations using the glitched boosters. Sure he might have to toss in some gold rails, but that's not really that bad. I truthfully don't think Notch just walked into that change willy-nilly. I'm sure he brainstormed solutions for quite awhile and found a compromise such as the one I suggested that really doesn't break everyone's ****, but merely means those people need to slightly alter it with a few gold tracks.
However, one of the glass fixes has turned into quite the cluster**** of remodeling in my world. I have to redo two networks of tubing to work around the fix to change how water reacts on top of glass because every junction I have right now abuses that glitch. So be glad most of you will probably only need 2 gold boosters replacing 2 normal tracks to fix your patch changes.
@Booster-Fix: Means for me wait untilundo by modder.Using the C-Booster for long rails ====> Many hours reworking and w/o inv-edit impossible ===> *exploding*
@duke2112: (could figure out how to quote a post, sorry...) That fix is for Multiplayer when monsters are enabled on the server. If your client options were set to peaceful (e.g. you play peaceful on Singleplayer) and you join a Multiplayer server that has monsters on, you won't see nor hear the monsters, but you WILL still take damage from them hitting you. This fixes that so you can now see them to run away or fight them better.
Last time it automatically patched the game without question. I hope you're right.
You need the newest minecraft launcher. Go into your minecraft folder (start-->run-->%appdata%-->.minecraft), copy your saves and screenshots folders, and save them somewhere else. Then delete your minecraft folder
Then go to minecraft.net and re-download minecraft. After you have run the game, exit it, then move your saves and screenshots folder back into the minecraft folder.
Yay, you can now choose to accept the patch or not :smile.gif:
I still want to know what the water/glass bug was. If that "fix" breaks all my drowning traps, I will be most disappointed. Nothing I ever read suggested that particular behavior was a bug.
