Heh, this is really really exciting. :biggrin.gif: I actually like bug fixes when they are in such large quantity.
Oh, and what's a Hatch?
Its a door that consumes a 1x1 space in a floor or ceiling. Just like doors, you need to attach it to a solid block such as the hole you made for the hatch in the first place. I foresee a lot of fun grinders and other machines using these as well as some interesting house features, especially on smp.
My eyes! So many bug fixes! He might even add more! I can't wait to see what will happen with hatches. To bad water/lava doesn't flow through. That would make a lot of custom map possiblities!
Does this mean that existing minecart boosters will cease to function entirely, or just cease to launch players at ludicrous speed? I can get behind the latter, but the former means a huge amount of work rebuilding existing rail networks, as well as breaking implementations of compact start/stop systems from post 1.5.Other than that one concern, I'm very happy to see this patch coming, if only for hatches.Man, I'm going to need a LOT of gold to replace the existing (ugly) boosters on my old subway. Time to hit up the Bank of Server OP.
While this is all good and dandy, I really liked the infinite falling sand, fast rising boats, torches/levers on trees, etc. Those were really useful glitches!
I have a feeling that by the time Minecraft is fully released, it will be less fun. Glitches actually made this game fun.
Out of the 1.6 patch, the only thing that disappointed me was the mob spawning in light areas. I thought that was intentional but apparently not. It was useful.
They should make the door slam more quite too. It kills my ears when someone opens a door.
Replace the several .oggs in the games folders with someone quieter then ;p Just gotta make sure it's the same name. The sounds folder is a mess and has several redundant .oggs, so I'm not 100% which door noise the game refers to. It's best to just do them all.

Oh, awesome! First thing I thought of was a treehouse.
This could make some good traps if it had redstone capability..pressure plate, TNT, trapdoor opens, boom!
@jacabyte You can quit in Mac OS X, you just have to click the close window button (the red one) , also, cmd-c and cmd-v don't work, but ctrl-c and ctrl-v do work (for pasting ip's into multiplayer) fyi.
This is a great update smp! And singleplayer. I started reading the whole list then I scrolled down and saw how many fixes their were! xD So I only read half. This update is gonna be great!

Ever see a cellar door before? Yeah, it's kinda like that.
Support Coloured beds!

But I guess it was sort of a Bug from the start.
