i want official mod support. c'mon already. notch you have made millions of dollars. If you can't find the time. please hire another employee. I do believe this is something others will want as well
I still want to know what the water/glass bug was. If that "fix" breaks all my drowning traps, I will be most disappointed. Nothing I ever read suggested that particular behavior was a bug.
It's not something that effects most people. I did have to tear apart my hostile mob sorter though to work around this change. Basically, on normal surfaces water will create infinite streams if placed with one square between one another where their streams merge. Using a checkerboard method with something like dirt, you can easily create huge lakes quickly. However glass is seen as a fluid by the game and prevents this from happening. In other words, any crossing streams over glass wouldn't create new source water. I abused this to create my junctions and needed to clean them up with single placed currents that took up a 2x2 space to create the same effect. It left me with less room and I had to demolish and rebuild two chambers in the process.
Well, actually they fixed the water touch through edge bug. It wasn't even realistic. I think it's awesome it's fixed. I never tried it, don't know how it work(ed) out. Just saw one video. :smile.gif: I like the bug fixes and the map & hatch thingy. Big thanks to Minecraft Creating Team!
That's part of it. They pretty much just made glass react the same as a normal block. So likely, it now cuts redstone wiring too.
@Roboticaust, I'm not sure if anyone else has answered this yet, but I think he means that the particle effect of the glass breaking would overwrite the particles of the clouds. I.E., when breaking the glass, the clouds behind it would "disappear." I don't think you'll have to fix anything with this one, it's purely a graphical bug.
i'm guessing he fixed where you would be smacking a block a glass , aka ' mining' and it would make the clouds disappear through the glass. Thats what i'm guessing lol.
I've got one question: you know how stairs (wood&cobble) will get those dark patches on them? Like shadow? Well, it fixes that if i have "Smooth Lighting" turn on, but i lag, so i keep it off, but i hate the dark patches on the stairs, so is that bug being fixed as well? Because that would suck if i had to lag to have pretty stairs. =/
•It’s no longer possible to build solid blocks on the top layer of the maps <-- what dose that mean? dose it mean we can't place any blocks?Someone help me understand I'm confused
you know what sucks i like all the things he truly did except for the booster thing i have so many roller coaster like maps that use two carts next to each other to gain speed it no fun if those are useless
pity for the ladder glitch, my awesome 27*27 mob trap was just awesome.
A) The whole ladders doors signs and pressure plates thing was not put into those patch notes, so people need to stop spreading rumors
and :cool.gif: ladders in a mob trap? you're doing it wrong!
"Fixed monsters not being visible for players with their difficulty set to peaceful"so i can see creepers without my house getting blowb to bits? awsome! i love those guys! peacefull creepers... love it.
Many stars have died so that we might live.
