So for those out there confused (like myself) about the toggle on the Comparator and what it does well I'm here to tell you.
So as we know the comparator only lets the redstone signal pass if it's stronger than the signal coming in from either or both sides.
Well actually this is false.
In it's default state it does only allow the stronger signal through. (at least I've yet to find anything showing it doesn't)
However in it's toggled state (up and glowing) it does something a little different.
If we compare to a signal from a weighted pressure plate and hook up some lights for better visual reference of our output, we can begin.
Now as we add items to the plate (about 4 on light plate per redstone lamp) we see the lights begin to turn off until our main signal is 0 or -.
So in short the toggled state is subtracting the comparison from the input.
In the next few snapshots can you try to add a new helping mob(like snow and iron golem). For example, just like villagers trade stuff with you maybe make another helping mob that attacks other mobs or a building mob.
hate to say this, but theres an un-patchable dupe method still around involving region save-rollbacks same for players.dat, just copy the files and paste em to desktop, then take what u want from chests for region, or place items u have in inv for players.dat, then simply restore the save BAM instant dupe.
u can also cheat survival using lan-enable cheats on a non-cheat world.

You sure you're using the B snapshot? You get a furnace, put the coal in there, then add the nether quart block, and watch it smelt for a few seconds, then you get the quart.

is it just me or has fluid changed? now when I pick up a water block I've placed, the rest of the water seems to 'flow' to the lowest level before dissipating

this is hardly instant, I'm fairly convinced that locking the files would break many many other things
I really would like to see map makers use a combination of command blocks and light sensors to alter the day/night cycle in even more ways then they have with just command blocks.

From dinnerbones twitter. I was wishing for that very feature just today: A way of detecting if a chest was full.
This will make autofilling storage rooms possible. (right?)
Yes confirmed. I just did it.
yeah... in my case I am probably going to wait a little for the bug-storm to clear and then try the snapshots...
I'm looking at you Hypixel...

Nether Quartz Ore, didn't even know about that...need to jump on snapshot tonight.
Don't tell them this, i use it sometimes on ultra bad escape maps.
