Apparently nobody reads (much less understands) the Terms Of Service that you agreed to when you originally bought the game. Here it is, in black and white: http://www.minecraft.net/terms
Where does it say that any version for any platform will be free?
Where does it say that all these updates you've enjoyed all this time is promised?
Where does it promise that after the official release that there will be anymore updates... much less, if there is, that you get them for free?
I know how you think it should be, or how you'd like it to be, but that's not how it really is.
Deal with it.
Now:
1- Sorry it doesn't run on old, small phones. How can you expect the "whole" MC to run on any phone when some good size PCs and laptops can't run it? Few companies write new programs that will work in Win XP now, and you haven't upgraded... so that's MS's fault?
2-$7 for a game like MC, and you guys are bitching and moaning about that? Are you kidding me???? Darn people, that's 1/2 the price of a good pizza that you'll enjoy for a few minutes today and crap tomorrow!
Just buy the game to cover the development cost, enjoy it for what it is, and if you get any free updates, clap your hands- you lucked out.
It's been mentioned a bunch of times but just to clarify completely.
PEOPLE WHO BOUGHT ALPHA ARE ONLY GUARANTEED THE UPDATES FOR THE PC VERSION OF MINECRAFT
They never said anything with the title of Minecraft alpha buyers get for free. While I can understand everyone's issues about it just think for a moment. Since you bought, for example, Modern Warfare 3 on the Xbox 360 does that entitle you to get it on ever other console you own for free? As much as I would love that, it doesn't so please stop whining about it. If you want to complain go whine to EA about the "online pass" To play games like Battlefield 3 online. Mojang and Notch as a whole are one of the generous developers I've seen easiest example of that is every humble bundle notch donates around 2000$ to.
Enjoy the game!

Voyager I wrote:People are very fond of making real-world analogies without remembering that in the real world, cities are occupied at all times and someone can't tear your house down in 5 minutes with their bare hands.
Its not $10 its 6.99 it's worth it and fun and most likely be updated remember the client on CPU is $23. It's a really good app been playing all day, and if any one has any cool seed please tell me! I use Gimme A Break and -11
I think it's pretty dumb how us minecraftians have baught the full version on our computers and we have to pay again to get it on our phones. It's a scam.
It maybe just pretty basic and small at the moment but like the PC version there is room for updates.
I have already discovered blocks that you can't place like iron ore and gravel.. So im sure they will eventually work on survival update or something eventually..!
My opinion is that if your REALLY that addicted to minecraft why not just play minecraft? I understand that if you plan to bring minecraft to school bringing your laptop is not the best idea. And also I think it is HILARIOUS how with the auto-spell check thing it says that minecraft is spelled wrong even on minecraft forums!

There's the rub- that's what you think should happen. That's not what has happened, and won't happen. You know that's not how things work in the gaming world, so why even post that? It's not a "scam"- it's paying for the development cost of it. And you didn't get the "full version"- you bought the alpha or beta version.
Come on people- just because you bought the PC version (yes, even in alpha) at a discount you think that Mojang should spend millions hiring other developers to make versions for all the other platforms just so they can give it to you for free ?!?
Yea, right.
All you "free" thinkers keep right on thinking like that- please let us know how that's working out for ya...
I think it's an ok price, about $7-$8 isn't too bad. I only play survival and just spent most of my money on Skyrim and BF3, plus I only have a second gen iPod Touch, so I won't be buying it. I don't think the game should be free for Alpha or any other Minecraft buyer, but I think a slight discount (maybe around $4-$5 instead) would be nice to see :). I hope it's good though and the people that buy it enjoy it :D. I'd love to try it sometime
