Have you noticed how, yet again, the minecraft developers have stolen content from a mod?
The "mob" heads were originally created by Jammy780 in the mod found here:
Mojang owns the rights to all mods, they can take whatever they want from whatever mod without giving credit. It's even in the 'TOS', or whatever you want to call it. So they can't "steal" from mods, because Mojang owns the mods.
Nargh, I've already build a stabling for my 4 pigs and now they can't jump. Seems like Piggels, Mr. Fred, Kermit and Zappadeus need to wait one more week until they get a use for me.
No, but they released 1.3.2.
I know I'm playing on 1.3.2 but how come people are already using decoration blocks and stuff when there is no knew updates
Pig Riding is epic. I'm building a coliseum now for the purposes of pig jousting.
In the next snapshot they should add the ability to have the pig jump while riding it by pressing the jump button. This way you don't need flat terrain from point A to point B.
well i supose the reason they didnt use the exterial of the mob heads is because not a lot of texture packs make use of it and when the texturepack doesnt use it instead of the head laying down on like a table or so it floats above it
While it isn't the most common things in packs, it is in some of the older packs, and the ones with mobs that took a while to make. For instance, vonDoomcraft also uses it on both the skeleton and the zombie. I've also seen countless online skins made using it (like browsing the skin section on PMC), which is probably because it makes skins much cooler, and to add detail as Mojang's servers does not allow skins to be larger than the default skin.
Also, the zombie pigman texture uses the 3D layer in default.
Not sure what you mean by that last sentence.

It’s the unpleasantness of the system that keeps me out.
I’d rather be in, in a good system. That’s where my discontent comes from:
being forced to choose to stay outside.
My advice: Just keep movin’ straight ahead.
Every now and then you find yourself in a different place."

The "mob" heads were originally created by Jammy780 in the mod found here:
Mojang concentrates on 'action' features like new mobs and improved mobs to defeat, beacon, ridable pigs, trading, enchanting, potions and so on. If they continue this way, they will have to compete with games like Diablo in future. And this they will never win.
I do not want Mojang to take back the new features, because I like them. But I hope they do not forget to develope 'construction' features. (The new decorative features are nice, but just decorative.) There are many interesting ideas in the forum like vertical slabs, colored glass, improved redstone circuits, new ores and liquids, floating items and much more.
they will always have the constructive features, that's why they have creative mode and peacful mode, diablo isn't a sandbox game like minecraft, the great thing about minecraft if you don't like the new features you don't have to use them, i highly doubt that they will need to compete with diablo, considering the fact that they already sold 7 million copies.
Yay this is really a good snapshot! Although, when riding pigs you should bring stairs or half steps for the don't jump up blocks. other than that its quite fun!
also shouldn't there be a wither skeleton spawn egg?
also beacon block doesn't have the words beacon in its gui like the other guis.
Gaming, history, science and technology enthusiast. Don't mind my cynicism.

I have a Spoon. Your argument is invalid.

It doesn't spawn naturally. You create it with 4 soul sand in a 'T' like an iron golem, then put three wither skeleton skulls on top.
1.4 is coming out on Halloween. Its called the "Pretty Scary Update"
Try Playstation 3. It's awesome. For reals.
39 here.. Was 38 till yesterday.
have you noticed that this mod would be nothing without the game they own.
