did gravel normally generate in the nether on 1.7.3? if not then i found some. if so then they generate a crap ton more than normal. all i can really see different is theres not as many floating islands. now it doesnt feel like a cluttered land of lava. now it does make it feel big and a little intimidating

There is also a new Pine forest biome (No snow, only pine trees, dark green grass)

dude that was awesome! I got the 1.8 pre release and started it up. I started out as usual, noticing the hunger bar and stuff. I attacked a cow to see it running away. It was pretty tough chasing it around with bear hands :tongue.gif:

i saw how awesome stacked beef was, and the new food system (which is great). Then i exploerd. I found a swamp filled with mushrooms. I found a huge mountain that towered up to the sky. I came acros a GIGANTIC ocean and after 3 minute of sailing found a small island filled with grass and a lone sheep. Finally, I came across a landform and found a HUGE ravine. IT cut through the land so deep. I ventured inside with my iron sword and pick to find an Abandoned mineshaft!!!

I followed the minecart tracks and wooden support beams to find many creepers and spiderwebs. Suddenly, I came face to face with an enderman! I punched it and he started killign me, only for me to back away and fall into a hole. This hole saved me. I continued following the tracks, mining precious ores like lapis and gold.

I finally met my demise when i fell into a stream of lava.

And all this was after about 45 minutes or less of play!!!

Where's the Adventuring?? Where's the flying?!? Love the animated main menu!! Seems a little smoother out of the box! I the modifiable FOV

Only two buggy-type issues so far:
1. Blackscreen when enabling Advanced OpenGL from main menu options. Not sure if I ever had a benefit using in 1.7.3 anyways. Have not tried from in-world.
2. Unable to pickup goods from ground when discharged from Crafting Table onto sand. Have not tried to replicate.

Golden apples make your health bounce
there are more moss stone in dungeouns
Blue spiders
More explosion particles
When spiders (normal ones) they get a brighter red
Arrows stick

Cooking beef crashes the game. Could be with chicken and other meat too.
EDIT: Reload your world and it will be fine.

the void at the bottom of the world has NEVER been more beautiful :happy.gif: thinking bout making a house way down there now =D
