I dont think anyone noticed the Jungle Temples till today... Seriously, I just found it, and didn't notice them on the change log when it came out lol.
My worst fear with all theses new additions is that many mods won't be compatible when the official 1.3 is released and a load of modders will quit when they realize that they have to relearn everything to mod the game because of the new mod api and they will have to recreate their already awesome mod from scratch to make them work on the 1.3. Please I hope it won't be so bad. This snapshot is great but I'm really lost without a proper map like cjb or similar.
That's already going to be the case eventually with the Mod API. Mods will have to be reworked in order to conform to the new standards. Hopefully the best ones will be able to be converted easily.
Yeah, and 90% of it is idiots asking the same questions over and over. and getting replies. Pick a random page out of the past 30 and you've got a good chance of finding the answer to any question you may have about the update. Including this one.
i love the new xp feature; finally a way to get experience in peaceful mode without having to kill a gazillion and a half of animals; i had pretty much given up on that. giving xp for mining ore and smelting makes good sense. including coal; it's nice to get xp as a newb. but it does need to be more carefully balanced; after 2 days of spelunking (only surface, no branch mining) i am now at 700 xp and can throw away level 30 enchantments on iron tools because it's way easier to get xp than it is to find diamonds. heck, it was harder to make the books for the shelves than to get silk touch or fortune. somewhere between "impossible to get without massive monster farming" and what it is now would be good.
the villagers' trading skills are kinda pitiful as yet; one guy trades me 1 emerald for 3 bread, while the one next door wants 3 emeralds for some bread -- maybe they should be trading with each other ;). but it's definitely excellent that we can do something with them now; makes up for them being so fugly. i also like that the priests give special items.
having more structures to find is very cool; makes exploring and mapping more fun.
great job in general, mojang. the development since 1.0 has been amazing so far. i've seriously never before got as much enjoyable playing time for so little investment.
Everything you said is there. You can't mod the snapshot cause mods haven't been made for it...
Lag because; Your computer is messed up/you tried to mod a snapshot, lol.
The creative inventory glitch doesn't happen unless you get an inventory editor for 1.2.5 or below.
It has those blocks, look harder.
Books worked fine for me...
I hate that iron and gold don't give exp.
Unless they do when you take them out of a furnace? (haven't tried yet...)
Monster spawners, precious block breaking and taking stuff out of furnaces would make MC so much better. besides, if you think about it, level 30 per item isn't that bad. Just for all the tools and armor of 1 type would be like 100+ levels, so game-play would be pretty much the same in the challenge area.
No, I'm not new...and I am smart enough to not use old mods on new versions (a.k.a. the snapshot) , but I got a huge amount of lag (more than normal) when closing the snapshot... Also, OF integration would be cool, so I suggested it.
I find that taking away the possibility of enchanting a tool with 50 levels good, because one time when I used a level 50 enchantment on a diamond sword, all I got was sharpness 2. That made me pretty mad...
You don't craft tripwire, but you do take string and right click it on the ground between two "hooks" which will send a redstone signal, unless you break it with shears.

I totally agree, it should be everything BUT coal, i can find that every 20 meters of mining.

Well I think 50 just took to long it was kinda boring having to kill enemies for 10 hours just to get it.
I would tell you, but I don't have time to reply to every post where the people don't bother to even use the search function.

Hey dude I wasn't trying to be sarcastic or rude. I really don't have time to stick around.
