Okay, to fix the Ender Chest griefing issue, I have this idea. We could add two more slots, one for frequency, the other for encoder. Both would be determined by the ID of the items placed inside. This would make it so that people who have the same frequency and encoder would be able to access the chest. It wouldn't completely fix the problem, but would still make it more safe and still allow players to trade using this method.
Am I the only who noticed that maybe the old currency were rubies instead of emeralds? They my have replaced rubies with emeralds but forgot to change textures. I'm sure in the next release rubies will be around with the current texture emerald has.
Did you know that the enderchest will work inbetween dimesnions, meaning one in the nether and one in the End will still be paired to one in the Overworld. Also, the contents are safe even if you break the chest. This means that on a large server, if they will be player specific, you can have a EnderChest within a Locked Chest(Using the Bukkit Plugin Lockette)

The good: Cool trading is finally available. Currency is a decent way of going about it. Game seems to have a smoother terrain
generation.

The bad: I was very hesitant when the snapshots that fused SSP with SMP came out, I would always try out every single snapshot
no matter how small the change list was or how pathetic the new changes were. But when people started talking about SSP
having lag like you would on SMP I held back, but after a few cool additions, mainly from this snapshot, I decided to give it a try
man was I not expecting this, the lag is seriously just like you'd find in a server...
Who even thought that would be a good idea, and to make the mod api easier to implement? for who? people who play exclusively
on SMP ?
Overall I can see that they tried something innovative to eliminate several problems at once, but failed miserably by destroying the
fundamental game on SSP. I can't even mine without going through the same cement block twice. Fighting, let us not even talk
about hostile mobs, but a little piggy can be a pain in the but, wasting the durability on your weapon/hitting the damn animal 6 times
to make it drop..... and all of a sudden it appears a couple of blocks behind you.
I seriously hope they fix this, because I had quit playing MC for the PC a while back and with the recent changes thought I'd be
back and happily playing, but this experience just settled it for me, I'll leave this version alone and continue playing on the xbox
even if most of the cool content is not there yet.
I have'nt downloaded the snapshot, however, all the changes look awesome, especially NPC trading. Shooting lava/water out of dispensers is nice, and will undoubtedly be used in various SMP traps/obsidian generators. As for the emerald ore, Id better generate some new chunks... I'll live with the gravel texture, and the Ender chests will probably be much more useful to me now that priest's can provide a steady supply of Eyes of Ender. NPC's also now allow you to get various previously ungettable things in survival, like Bottle o' Enchanting and Chain armor( the boots, anyway.) The villages being styled to the biome seems interesting, I wonder what a jungle biome one would look like? As for the pyramids, this could be the beggining of much more interesting exploration. Of course, in all my many desert explorations, I have only found 1 sanstone well, so I probably won't have fantastic luck with that. TNT traps around the map will make me eternally paranoid. Just my thoughts on the snapshot.
The gravel (unless it gets a new use) should go back to the old texture... it is, as others have said, VERY ugly. The pyramids should be bigger, and I mean BIGGER, so that they look more like pyramids and not the kind of pyramids that build servers like to erase ;). As for the other features, I can't wait to see more! I just hope that "singleplayer" lag and glitches are cleared up, like the lack of TNT cannons and various others.

Again, how it works in Terraria (Not that it matters, since all dimensions are in the same world.)
Excellent snapshot, no doubt 1.3s gonna be a huge update. I also love the new gravel texture. The pyramids are also awesome. This is what i call an ADVENTURE update...(Or in this case, adventure snapshot) The tradings pretty neat, although i wish they would only sell general items such as compasses, clocks, and food instead of diamond items (Although i dont mind it.) But i really loved this snapshot. Keep it up Mojang!
OH YEA!!! And hoq do i download this thing?
I cant go on u tube cause of an internet safety thing that sucks so will someone send me a reply to this message and show hjot to downloadf it.also WOOH TRADING ENDERCHESTS PYRAMIIDSTNTTRAPSEMERALDSFTW!!!!!!11
1. Pirate Speak has been around since the languages where added. 2. They should make a poll on gravel texture (So many people like the old one). 3. I like the trading system for as far as I've seen.
And in my personal opinion, I think there should be an emerald block.
Found a pyramid and went to loot it but I landed on the pressure plate and blew up!
Reloaded the map again and was able to loot it. I got 33 bones, 17 rotten flesh, 12 gold bars, and 4 iron bars. There is a single pressure plate in the center of the pit and under it is 9 tnt blocks.
lmfao. I love how some of the buildings are impeded into the cliff.
Pretty obvious that that is the case.

My emerald is green, but on creative it appears with the name "Diamond". Anyone else have this?
And, planks are different colors depending on wood, but why do stairs not work like that?
Check out my bad CTM map reviews here.
Now we need to have an emerald block so I could make my house look BEAUTIFUL!

How Ironic Diamond in Indev WAS Emerald, now they are seperate... how nalstolgic(Then again how would i know i joined MC at Beta 1.2)
Not everyone has played Terraria.....
*shrug* Your loss then.

I have no idea why I do this.
Trade emeralds to an NPC for diamond axes. Emeralds are renewable via iron ingot/book trading.
EDIT:
Melons are now obtainable outside of mineshafts.
Villagers are awesome.
DOUBLEEDIT: REDSTONE IS RENEWABLE
3X EDIT COMBO: BOTTLES O' ENCHANTING ARE PURCHASABLE
