I feel I've lost a lot of respect for Notch, and I happen to have defended him a lot in the past.
It's just not professional behaviour to have a hissyfit in a public forum like that. If there were issues, these issues should have dealt with in private. This was belittling and childish, and I didn't want to know about what should have stayed private and personal issues. We're not in Gossip Girl, I don't want to hear about the arguments or behaviour of people I admire (which happened to be both parties).
Just seems so... ridiculously childish. If he had issue with their behaviour, he should have brought it up with the guys and not with the rest of the world. For all I know, they did everything he said they did, and yet I feel tweeting about it like a fourteen-year-old lost me more respect than what happened at Minecon.
Ugh, poorly played, Notch. -1 gold star.
Yeah, but what can you expect from a man who, jokingly or not, publicly challenges Bethesda to a game of Quake 3 to settle a legal issue and then goes on about how they turned it down. You just know some of his fans saw that the suit continued and his "reasonable" offer to settle things was turned down as "Bethesda is being unreasonable" bit.
Then we have that email from a user who emailed him about stealing mods that he publicly belittled. I admit the guy who emailed him dit it all wrong and it came more out like just hate mail but honestly that should have never happened.
Then we have this incident.
The man has diarrhea of the mouth. I'm honestly surprised Mojang hasn't as a company either 1) Put a muzzle on him (every company I've ever worked for has made it clear that if you have a blog / etc you make it VERY clear your opinions do not reflect your employer.) 2) Very quickly and very clearly distanced themselves from this and made it apparent to the community that Notch's opinions do not necessarily reflect their own. 3) BOTH
He's demonstrated that he doesn't think before he speaks and you can't have that of someone who is more or less iconic to your business. It's really bad and can bring legal suits down around your ears. (Look up libel some day, this whole mess is dangerously close to that). He really should be managed by a PR person/firm.
The most that should have been heard from this would be at the next Minecon when people would be asking "Hey, why no Yogscast?". And then the official response should have been something like "We have decided to no longer work with them." That should have been the response from Yogscast as well.

But, welcome to 2011.
Where is number 3?! But I'd assume that because Notch is one of the heads of Mojang(if I'm not wrong), he probably thinks he has the power to express his own opinions. After all, what can you expect from an indie company of less than 10 staff?(Not too sure)

#3 is Muzzle him and distance themselves from him; that's why it simply says 3) BOTH
Ugh, Notch is such an Emo sometimes.
And after all those "Your mother" jokes he should be the one to stay quite.
So let's just enjoy watching Yogscast and play Minecraft.
Personally? I don't like Notch one bit and there are alot of reasons for that, but I like the game he made.
Same with Yogscast, they may be a bit mean sometimes but it's mostly as a joke, I can't imagine Simon or Lewis acting like a total ass for no reason.
So yeah, let's just ignore Notches twitter bitching and just go on with our lives.
Let's actually wait for what they have to say first.
I don't trust Notch on this one.
And if you really are a fan, you don't stop being one after some dude on Twitter says bad stuff about them.
I guess they are shocked after what Notch said about them (and it was reeeeaaaly unprofessional of him, he is not a 14yo anymore).
Notch makes Minecraft, yogscast becomes very popular playing minecraft, Minecraft becomes even more popular due to the Yogcast videos not to mention countless other on youtube doing exactly what Yogs does.
Well it was out for android for quite a while and it's still classic.
Wish that they just raised the price over time like they did with normal Minecraft, that would have been more fair because I want to buy it... but I know that I can just play around in Eden.
I don't really think we should judge until, like most people have said,we hear the yougscast's side of this.Until then,I'm on their side. :Flint and Steel: :Flint and Steel:

Most of you guys don't really know what happened except for what Notch posted on Twitter. I personally like both of them and want to hear the Yogscast's side of this too. But, what also made Mojang mad was how immature Simon and Lewis were acting at a point. Complaining about how slow Mojang was, and how the Yogbox was what made Minecraft fun and Vanilla Minecraft is boring. So on and so on. Here's a video.
it makes me laugh seeing all the Yogcast fan boys like DrZavulon. Notch was answering the publics question and was just informing the public.
He made your mother jokes in a private interview between Yogcast and himself, these didn't have to be aired. This was between 3 adults too and not for public display where it is being advertised to young children.
I'm not on any sides but Yogcast seemed in the wrong acting like this publicly fully knowing that there were minors about
The video was meant to be public. Assuming it to be a private interview would be intentionally putting yogscast in a bad light. Plus, you seem like a notch fanboy yourself.
Regarding the exhibition, there were no specific rules saying swear words weren't allowed, by law, they are protected by free speech.
The bit in the Reddit post about the organizational aspects falling through and getting changed around sort of resonates with me. I've seen gamer friends IRL start companies, open shops, etc. with no further administrative planning than "hey Joe, you're a nice guy and good with people. Why don't you be our PR department?"
Instead of looking into professional event services and planners, they might hire a friend or dragoon a girlfriend into being the gofer. This is a mistake. They should hire a professional.
And they should be careful which professional service they hire. One based in the US would be best, but perhaps it's easier for them to communicate with someone closer to home. The wrong service might lead them to expect smooth sailing, but let things fall apart at the last moment.
It's really too bad all this had to come up at the inaugural Minecon. Now most people who looked forward to celebrating Minecraft's debut will come away with a bad taste in their mouths. Miscommunication, poor organization, inappropriate language, venal decision-making, lack of professionalism, personality and ego clashes, backbiting, etc.
I can't really take anyone's side, because I'm equally appalled and surprised at the alleged behaviour of all sides. At the end of the day though, I'm going to be playing Minecraft whether or not this gets sorted out in a professional way, or merely scabs over, waiting and festering to erupt again.
I do the lets plays
I'd hardly call it FULL VERSION!!!!!

Whats the problem? Oh yeah Ego's of rich people.
Wish that they just raised the price over time like they did with normal Minecraft, that would have been more fair because I want to buy it... but I know that I can just play around in Eden.

just having a sense that, THIS
http://www.reddit.com/r/Minecraft/comments/mkjhs/why_notch_is_mad_at_yogscast/c31pix8
should be posted out here for everyone to see so people won't just take sides and be mad and angry and stuff before it ends
*****Minecraft is an awesome game with awesomely kind community right? Let's SHOW it to the others then******
