I quite like this update, though the cocoa plants devalue cocoa beans I actually like the plants, more realistic. Interesting large biomes option too, but Oceans were big enough already .
Here's my overview video if anyone wants to see it!
Am I just a noob, when I try to download this snapshot, my minecraft says "UPDATING MINECRAFT done loading" with a tiny bit left on the loading bar. The WinRaw icon also looks different to previous snapshots. It is just books while the previous ones were books on paper.
The features look awesome. I attempted to test 12w18a last, but the bugs weren't happy and they started trying to eat me. I'd love to test this one, too, but I'm gonna stay in 1.2.5 until I feel safer about people not hacking my computer. Also, hitting esc. to pause the game again would be good oh, and in 12w18a, I was having problems with single player commands (the official ones, not the mod), as in, they didn't work. Not trying to whine, but I feel like Mojang should know this stuff. Peaz!

I like whats added, but Im getting annoying lag issues on single player. Like im trying to play on a server thats located on the other side of the world.

"I would agree with you, but then we'd both be wrong."
So umm how exactly do I play the snapshot?I downloaded it, now what?
When you create a world in the snapshot, when 1.3 comes out can you still play that world on the regular minecraft?
Hmm, does anyone know if you cant convert current worlds into the "large biome type".
Not at the moment but I am sure it will be able to be done just like all the other updates for us who keep our old worlds. But the large biomes will only appear in unexplored areas as always. Being that the ANVIL update accomidates the new updates with old worlds now it will probably be somthing we wont have to use NBT edit for this time.
On a side note, some biomes might overtake each other in the already generated areas, but then there's a program called bio-med for that issue. In the end someone will make it possible weather it be Mojang or a third party but it seems allot of modders are waiting for 1.3 due to the server client changes going on.

Blame the multiplayer inclusion. However, I like it. Adds a nice challenge, even to peaceful.
