I'm a Yogscast fan, and I don't see no bandwagoning here. I only see pure British Comedy, funnier than any American and their stupid poop jokes can do.
Seananners, however, is a bandwagon. His viewers are a bunch of drunken college kids. Bandwagon is when someone follows without good reason. I follow the Yogscast because I think they are funny, not because my friends told me or it's only funny after about a six-pack or so.
You're bad-mouthing Seananners? :angry.gif:
You can't just make sweep statements like that, calling all his subs drunken college kids. It's like calling all Yogscast fans stupid kids.
Pshhh I can see Yogscast saying the things Notch accused them of. I think their released statement was as fake as their rehearsed and scripted episodes. It's all about politics and pleasing the majority; Yogscast fans will believe whatever bone they end up throwing to them.

"A wise man washes his hands after he pees. A wiser man doesn't pee on his hands."
Notch definitely owes a less conceited apology than the one line he's responded with so far on reddit. His blind accusations were one thing, and selling the rights to a livestream to (what is essentially) News Corporation without even consulting the people who turned up demanding no pay (contrary to the hate thrown in the Yogscast's direction prior to this) shows nothing but arrogance and ignorance. Running a company like Mojang means being a professional; if Minecraft is all about "respecting and caring" then this kind of attitude needs to be displayed from the top; ergo Minecraft's most visible bastion from Mojang needs to stop spreading half-truths and omitting information on twitter so that his personal mob (because that's probably the most appropriate term for anyone willing to cuss their mouth off and DDOS a site amongst other things at the beck of a single man) will once again divide a community and cause unnecessary antagonism.
And I hate to say this, but this is the second time this has happened. The first time was Bethesda, whom, by the way, were just defending their IP after Mojang attempted to trademark the noun "Scrolls". Put this way Bethesda would never have been demonised, but in this instance again Notch was "choicey" with what information he decided to give out and the general impression for a long time from most people (and even some now) was that Bethesda was in the wrong, when it clearly wasn't.
In short: Notch needs to grow up, stop spreading accusations which later prove unfounded by Twitter, and act like the industry professional he's supposed to be. After all, this kind of behaviour hurts the Minecraft community more than you might think: it attaches unnecessary social stigma to all of us and makes the case for those who are "anti-video game" to even denounce a game which in all honesty can be seen as a shining example of a video game which can allow people of all ages to educate, learn and explore with total freedom.

People; we need to calm down and be friendly. Has FiM taught us nothing?

Notch made the yogs famous, the yogscast made minecraft famous. You'd think they should be friendly, and so should we. As stated probably many times before, the forums shouldn't be divided like this.
Everyone, ease up on Notch, alright? He's just one man who was tired and stressed. It certainly didn't help that as soon as yogscast fans learned he was talking about the duo, they sent hate mail almost instantly. So don't rant on about Notch being a "liar," as spreading information that you can't prove is true or false isn't lying. Rumor spreading, maybe, but not lying. And don't rant on about fans either, as it just provokes them, like trying to put out a fire with gunpowder.

It's funny how people go from OH MAN YOGSCAST IS BAD, NOTCH IS THE BEST to OH MAN NOTCH IS BAD, YOGSCAST IS THE BEST. Reddit is a pretty silly place.
Honestly, people, even with these statements, you still don't know the truth of what happened. Don't take sides. Just play the game and watch the videos. It'll all be forgotten to history soon enough.
Definitly worth having 5000 minecrafter's dire need to assess the situation.

Kudos to both of you guyz for not starting one. May this peace holds up.
*sigh of relief*
