Um...you guys are so ungrateful. We should be happy that minecraft's making a turn in the right direction, not having a Mobile phone device And to let you know, Android is Java integrated once, and the Sony Xperia, is a gaming Phone, it's like Psp so it can handle Minecraft's Graphics better than Most Computers. But c'mon just be grateful who knows eventually it might come out for all phones or Program Devices.
I will be interesting to see how they would have controls with no buttons... I'm getting the iphone 5 when it comes out. My current phone lags even when I play the little block breaker thing that comes with it. :sad.gif:
Notch was in the booth signing autographs and taking pictures with the fans. His cardboard head has been the most sought after shwag of E3. People waited two hours for that head and they were gone within minutes. I did manage to get a shirt and Notch was gracious enough to sign it for me, but the head still eludes me. One more day, perhaps my luck will change.
As for Xperia Play, you have got to be happy to see Minecraft expanding. This is only a good thing, I can't see anything negative about it. There was no crouch functionality on Xperia's demo version which made building on ledges impossible, but I know that will be fixed come launch. Xperia's version also did not have redstone functionality so I am curious as to how that will evolve. The demo did not have the option to manipulate lava or water as well, but it was still exciting to see a giant "E3" made of red wool on the big screen. Overall very awesome exposure for Minecraft and to see Notch in the thick of it talking to the fans, well it was priceless.
Minecraft would be playable on a purely multitouch system, but I would prefer controls of some sort. You'd think by now there would be a universal gamepad accessory, at least for iOS. Ah well. My computer is mobile enough.
Having the option to play on a handheld is just plain cool. The view distance may be crap but as long as it's smooth playing and has multiplayer it will be sexy.
I have no opinion on what devices should support it just a few quick facts. iphone is the worst possible machine you could try to put a game like this on. Why? How bout because if you look at the spec's aka graphics card it's a peice of crap... It doesn't take a genius to look at it and know it would be a nightmare to get it in any sort of playable state.
I don't care if they do put it on iphone it will just play like crap. Any Apple fanboys should do a little research into their precious company and who actually controls them. *COUGH* Microsoft *COUGH*
