A code freeze for Minecraft is now in effect! In software jargon, a code freeze is essentially a tight set of restrictions placed on what can be added to game code, with a focus on polishing, bug-fixing and streamlining the game instead of adding more features. This assures that Minecraft will be released as a smooth, mostly (or entirely!) bug-free game.
Minecraft has gone through some amazing changes since its humble beginnings, adding tons of features and content. What have been some of your favorite additions to the game?
"You must find us another shrubbery! And place it next to this one, but a bit higher so you get a two-level effect, with a little path running down the middle. And then! When you have found the shrubbery! You must cut down the mightiest tree in the forest... With! A HERRING!!!"

I'm gonna miss updates I think. :sad.gif: But I'm proud to see Minecraft evolve through Aplha and Beta. :smile.gif: And I do not have a favorite addition. :tongue.gif:
I swear this game has so much potential sometimes I wish I could be one of those developers and say "It needs more!!!"
But it is time for this game to grow up I guess
sorry do not really understand, is this a restriction on their end? like does this mean there will not be any more major updates to the patch, just cleaning and polishing?
All I ask is that they fix whatever is causing the random ticks in the frame rate. Those little frame rate jumps have killed me more than anything else.
You do realize that if Notch was a better debugger he would have cleared up all those bugs and such while adding extra content? To debug now after a year will be quite a pain to having to look up old hidden bugs and codes...
