Only thing I'm worried about with taller worlds is that Notch mentioned lots of data consumption. I only get 20-40 FPS on average, and if taller worlds drops my FPS significantly, I will not be happy. :sad.gif:
i think its some special code which helps them see bugs, either that or they are looking for FUN,
also everyone here seems to see the lower bar as one complete bar, but it isn't and prove my wrong... at the middle of the mistery bar theres a thicker line which tells me the bar is divided in 2 sections, i guess stamina under life and armor under food, enough said by me i suppose now...
I noticed the same thing as well. Its faded, but also thicker.

Or it could be thicker to show that it's the middle of the bar so one knows when they're more than halfway through a level. Not saying that you're wrong, just pointing that out.
Funny thing, to make it like the real world, the map limit (not including everything below sea level) would have to be at least 36,000 blocks. The current level is 128.
maybe you have to do something before it fills, like drinking some sort of energy drink.... or eat chicken XD, he could also have run it emprty then upload it to show us a fully empty bar so we start guessing what it is instead of seeing, oh its that ok....
Well then if there was no set recharge time and you did need to eat to restore it, it would be too annoying to manage and way too limited making having sprinting pretty much pointless. The sprint system could instead work like, for example, Grand Theft Auto games.. where you have a set amount of time that you can sprint and a set amount of time to recharge. That would make more sense.
Well there's also another suggestion for that empty bar then: Armor.
Which seems more likely than stamina, but why would they change the placement of the armor instead of having the food meter below the health and armor which were there to begin with.
The most reasonable explanation for the bar is that it's an experience bar. It fits what a typical experience bar looks like. It explains why it's empty. It's also been confirmed that experience and leveling will be implemented, so an experience bar is more than helpful in that situation.
damn i really HOPE theres not a hunger bar, i play on peaceful and i LIKE not having to waste bag space on food!! Also the bottom bar looks a lot like an XP bar to me.
The long bar below it could be the rumored EXP bar. (Supposedly)

So the new launcher doesn't actually work to download minecraft.

Also, the cooked chicken reminds me of a part of an ant.
Guess where I put the cooked chicken :wink.gif:
...Good god.
