•NPC Villages
Cool. I always wanted some kind of millenaire mod, but I have troubles trying to install any mods. Also, what type of npc villages are these based off of?
•Randomly generated dungeons
Sweet! Maybe it'll be like that tower mod!
•New biome code
Not the most important.
•Fully functioning Creative mode (with Creative-type access to server mods/admins)
Lava survival!
•Critical hits
???...I hope you're referring to something cool like increased chance per kill or something like that.
•Sprinting
Bye Bye, creepas!
•More farming options
I hope this will include something interesting.
•Brightness slider
Now we can actually fight monsters in the dark.
Excuse me ShadowWolf937, but after 1.8 is the final game, as stated by Notch.
How can adventure update possible be a different mode?
I am a premium subscriber to minecraft and I think Notch should make the new update run minecraft without java because i am one of the many people that do not have a lot of ram and making minecraft not run on java will make the game run faster which will cause more people to buy the game and will make minecraft a lot more enjoyable to the people that have slow computers.
really? i didn't know java didn't support dynamic lighting... thats kind of a disspointment i was planning on learning java because i want to be a game developer... anyone know any good computer languages that can be used to make 3d games with dynamic lighting?
It does... I guess Mojang just hasn't figured out how to do it, yet. Because there is a video of the dynamic lighting mod (someone posted it on the last page) where you can carry a lit torch and even drop it on the ground and have it give off light.

You aren't a "subscriber" to Minecraft, and seriously? Code the game in an entirely different language? Part of the charm of Minecraft is that it is a Java based game that you can play in your Web browser. Notch never said "this game can and will run on all computers", so I don't see why he should pretty much re-do the entire game just to accommodate for a few people.
Awesome. Hopefully, this means that creative will be updated with all the stuff from beta, like ladders, doors, torches, ect. like the xperia play version. Also, headshots! And sprinting confirmed? Sweet. Now I'll just keep my fingers crossed for dolphin-diving.
My main concern is the NPC villes and how a lot of people are a bit upset. It would be great if Notch put an option somewhere to enable/disable generated villages.
I GET IT. The new 1.8 logo is a spoiler in itself! Check out Steve.
Theory:
Items in the left hand are usable by left-click, mainly to destroy, dig, chop, or attack. Right hand items are usable via right-click, only for constructive means, like placing blocks, torches, levers, redstone wire, etc.
well... it might b because u can have 2 items in your hands in the adventure mode because in adventurecraft
( basicly a mod or minecraft witch allows people to build custome maps and play them) you CAN hold 2 items

Other than that, I love it though. Awesome job Notch!
