Mojang developer, Notch, has just tweetedthe development company of the new Minecraft for XBLA. 4J Studios is the same studio that ported Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion to the PS3.
They've also had quite a bit of experience recently porting games over to the Xbox Live Arcade format, so hopefully we'll get to see some of the beta development shots soon!
Hopefully more details will emerge soon, as 1.7 "The Adventure Update" looms near.

It's gonna be awesome! And i would pay an extra 5 - 10 bucks to get it for the xbox too! I do hope some goes to 4J Studios though, They are pretty awesome, i love the elder scrolls. MAKE SURE THEY HAVE TEXTURE PACK SUPPORT PLEASEEE!!!
4J studios is the same people who handled the Banjo Kazooie/ Tooie and Perfect Dark ports onto xbox 360 in addition to the Elder Scrolls on the PS3.They have all my support, and I'm more than 100% positive they can handle this.I'm so glad it wasn't some unknown company doing this!
Honestly, I think Notch is going to make sure that we get everything we need: Iconomy, bukkit, all that stuff. However, it will probably be built in, and no mod support. It will be okay, but, ya know, pc is the way to go (for this game)
looking forward to seeing this, if it really does work with the kinect, that would be interesting. i "think" this would be the first xbox arcade game to utilize the kinect.
This won't be free for anyone since Mojang isn't working on it, they're going to expect payment, just like we're going to have to buy a new copy if we want to play it on our Android phones later this year. If this is being ported to XBLA, maybe someday we'll see it on the Playstation Network Store.

Nothing. They're just there to scare the **** out of you.

Well, a television is still a monitor, and an X-Box is still a computer. Same thing, different input.
