It's good to have a usage for them, finally, but maybe they should be a little less conditional with their spawns? Considering it generally takes weeks for someone not using a wiki to find them, since they shouldn't know tricks to spawning them.
I think by "sticky" he means that whatever they push sticks to them instead of being pushed away. Like if it was sitting on its side it would push the object away, but then be able to pull it back. A normal piston would just push it away, and have no effect on it after that.
They can be sticky and bouncy, you know, like silly putty. Also, I think the smelting them into sticky slime balls might be a good idea, that way different things can be made utilizing their stick and bouncy properties (such as flubber shoes. :P)

Meaning they will be necessary to create a portcullis that works like a real one.
"Sticky" pistons only apply to blocks from what the video shows. They have no effect on things with item values such as players, NPCs, and chests/furnaces/noteblocks/etc.etc.

that makes sense cuz its sticky, and it will hold onto the the block and pull it
And how fast would it take to destroy (or mine) ?
