might be somewhat of a stupid question, but i didn't see this anywhere else. since this update, if you hit F3, in addition to the coordinates there's some kind of f value. anyone know what that is?
I Think it might be for the 1.8 update because they also added the silverfish into 1.7 but wont be out till 1.8 by looks of it something to do with the adventure mode?
"Install" the mods again.
Since you have to re-install MC when you add new mods(thats what Simon said at least), maybe you have to do the same with the mods now :tongue.gif:
Every time the game updates, it creates a new "bin" Folder (which includes your minecraft.jar file) . So the old mods you had basically are deleted from your Minecraft.jar. All you need to do is wait until the creator of the mod updates his/her mod to the current patch and 'Reinstall' the mod.
Yeah. I Update with my mods on, so my house is gone, cool, is there anyway that I can get it back ?
Well that is odd because even though the mods might need to be reinstalled (due to a new Bin folder from the new patch) your saved files should still be there. Unless of course your house was created with materiel that is aside from the actual game's default items.
Such as the different Ores Mods that gives you Adamantine, Mithril, Rune, Bronze and so on...
I really like this, but there are some problems. Now, with shears, you need to find iron BEFORE you can make a BED. that seems kind of messed up. I only survived my first night because I had a bed. Fences on top of each other is good, I have no issues with that. I'm neutral with the TNT, because I used to like just placing a bunch of TNT and then just hitting it and running away. Although that led to many deaths and house destruction, it was fun. But the update is for the better. Pistons, I like (except for the fact that I can't make wave machines) so we're all good on that. =) And finally, I like caving on "peaceful" , because I'm a noob, but that makes it impossible to find slimes. Which makes a problem for sticky pistons. If I sound to criticizing, Im sorry. These are just my opinions, and if you agree, good for you

Answer:
Pressing F3 will now show what direction you are looking as well as displaying your co-ordinates. It’s a handy tool to use in conjunction with maps. For reference, zero is west, one is north, two is east and three is south.
Soooo... I haven't been able to find this yet, but i know somebody somewhere knows... what are the block IDs for the piston and the sticky piston, and the item ID for shears?
....if you dont get wool from punching sheep, and you have to wait till you get iron to get wool, are you just not allowed to go to bed or something? :dry.gif:

Am I screwed? It's still "Saving My Chunks".

Actually, killing sheep does possibly give a block of wool, it doesn't always, but I did get a block of wool from killing a sheep.
