Well, it looks like we're finally getting to see what Piston's are going to look like, and the schematics for designing them as well. As promised, Jeb did make slime balls make the pistons into sticky pistons.
glad you took out the one thing i didnt approve of in the pistons mod; they cn puch eachother!!!!
cant wait for 1.7!!! new blocks FTW! :laugh.gif:
Am I the only one who noticed that pistons are geometrically...wrong? I mean, the "body" of the piston (the static part) is about 3/4 the width of the block. That means that at maximum, the piston should be able to extend by 3/4 of a block. But instead, it extends by a full block. I mean, I can see how that could be easily coded to work with no issues, I just noticed it nonetheless.
So guess what, I was playing this game called minecraft and everything is wrong. For example, the trunk of the trees are square shapes? That doesnt make any sense.

My question is can a piston push a piston up? Like, hypothetically creating a bridge extending from the water by a series of pistons pushing up other pistons, ultimately pushing up the bridge, would that be possible?
what happens when you attempt to use a piston to push a block into the skybox? ( the roof ) as in you use a piston to push a cobblestone block above the building limit? Will it glitch? Or will the piston jam?
I'm asking this as i am gonna make a cobblestone genetator and use pistons to push the cobble up ( self repairing wall ) but if i have to make a obsedian roof to stop it from going into the skybox ( or furnace roof ) then i have to rethink my plan.
When I heard about pistons being part of the 1.7 update, I started thinking about the sticky ones, maybe they would need slime balls...It looks like my thoughts were correct, and it is nice that you can punch them and that they break quickly, looking forward to the Adventure Update and what it holds in store for us players.
i've figured out that pistons CAN be used to make a minecart booster.it just saves a dector rail and some redstone wire. When the minecart enters the station, it runs off rail into the piston ( one block without rails) but when it starts, the piston shoves the minecart into the powered rails, and since the minecart is already moving, the power rail will acclerate the minecart in the direction it is already moving. and yes, the power rails can me replaced with a slope.
My question is, could you have a chain of sticky pistons, to make a sort of extending arm? (In other words, is it possible to trigger pistons to push each other?)

For backwards time travel to be possible, wouldn't every instant in the universe have to be stored somewhere, or time to be something physical you could travel through? Either way doesn't work with the current laws of physics.
