I think, need level up system in future. Just build and dig, run away from angry creepers. On achievment you not going too far. For game need some changes. I will be add some birds, recipes, redstone something, some block to melt together metal and to this new pecipes. But i am not a programmer.
But map is awesome. +1. Need make some album to list all explored maps.
Sorry for bad English :smile.gif:
But am I the only one who would prefer to wait a little longer for a patch and it having more content in return?
Yes. Well, maybe you're not, but it doesn't make any sense to think that way, so I imagine most people don't.
Suppose Notch has four new features in mind. Sooner or later, you'll get all four, but he could do it one of two ways:
Week 1: Release a patch with the first.
Week 2: Release a patch with the second.
Week 3: Release a patch with the third.
Week 4: Release a patch with the fourth.
Or he could wait an entire month, and then release a patch with all four.
In both cases, you get all the features. But in the second case, you have to wait longer to get all but the last one. Why on earth would you want that?
Furthermore, if for some reason you really did want to wait for no good reason, you can always just keep playing the current version the first three weeks, and then update on the last. By doing smaller patches more frequently, people who prefer that can get their new features as quickly as possible, but if you (for some reason I cannot fathom) you don't want new features as quickly as possible, you're perfectly free to just skip a few updates and get them all at once by waiting. So, doing it the first way should make everyone happy. The second way just forces everyone to wait whether they want to or not, rather than just letting those who want to wait wait, whereas those who don't, don't.
He said he's confirmed the floating islands. That's probably gonna be a few patches away, though. I'm more interested in the maps. Ghasts are probably gonna be hell to fight.
It's about time maps make a debut. I've often found myself pressing the 'M' key to bring up a map and forget I'm not playing RIFT, WoW, or Guild Wars.
It would be awesome when you make one of the following objects:
The Clock
The Compass
The Map
You unlock a more advanced HUD display.
With the clock, the game time would be displayed on the game screen.
With the compass, the game displays an Arrow of your respawn location.
With the map, the game gives you a minimap (like the mod kados14 uses).
It would probably be even better if those items had their own equip box, something like how you equip armor, so they don't take up inventory space. But that's just my personal taste.
As for trapdoors. Eh, sure, why not. I'm sure I can find a use for it eventually. What would really be great is the ability to have double doors. One door on the left, up front. Another door on the right, up front. And the door knobs are next to each other, almost like a mirror image.
Good job Notch, you failed to beat a mod I downloaded for Beta 1.3. As for the Nether, you should have done that a while ago. Nevertheless (haha nethertheless) I will be looking forward to the update.
As for the Nether not be 'functional' I don't know what they mean by that. You mean how I can't go anywhere without god mode? I can fix that
So basically you want them to implement Millenaire in to the main client?
