Was hoping to find a local bloke who could help this directionally challenged Yank navigate between the Heathrow International Airport and my hotel (looks to be located between the London City Airport and the Conference Centre), plus some tips on best train maps to use, etc.
I am more than willing to offer terrible jokes, general weeping (at the exchange rate), and a meal (late lunch or dinner) in exchange for your assistance.
Thanks for the directions, I'll make sure to save them.
Half of the "seeking local guide", however, was also just having someone to talk to and hang out with on Thursday (hence the offering of a meal / restaurant).
Im flying in on the friday otherwise I'd of offered to help, but it's no bad thing to check out the route in advance, just so you know where you are going.
I've traveled a lot for business and I've lived in the area during the 2012 Olympics, but its really easy to get there, and there are usually plenty of helpful people around the stations, or failing that just asking someone who looks local, on the whole Ive found people in London to be some of the most helpful.

2) Get the Bakerloo Line to Baker Street
3) Get the Jubilee Line to Canning Town DLR Station
4) Get the DLR to Customs house (West End of the the Excel) or Price Regent (East End of the Excel) depending on where your hotel is.
