Clouds might be the way of the future, but we should be allowed to store game saves locally on our own device/jump drive like we can for the 360. The MC cloud is entirely unreliable and looses peoples worlds all the time. Either make a more stable and secure product, or allow us to protect our own data.
don, i think MS REALLLLY hates moders. And MCXB360 is just 1 example how people were allowed to exploit the thumbdrive and modify game saves, etc.. The more i think about it, i think its more about control and less about higher quality of gaming. I think if they are going to force us into the cloud, they should at least allow us access to the backend of it, maybe attach it to everyone's Onedrive account.
My precious worlds that ive come to love have this guillotine hanging over their heads. Mixed with murphys law... we dont stand a chance. its not a matter of WILL i loose my maps... its WHEN.
A better option than allowing us to transfer saves to USB which would only make it easy for modders to cheat and ruin multiplayer games like they have om 360 is to give us more control of the cloud.
They should give us a way to see if saves have been synced. At the moment there is no way to see if the saves are synced or not. So if the saves are not syncing due to a glitch you have no way of knowing about it until it's too late.
Also a way to make backups of cloud saves to a secondary backup cloud service would help too.
