It is great that auto-save can constantly keep the map updated, but there needs to be a change to how it is disabled.
Whenever you disable auto-save, anytime you reload that world, or any world in fact, auto-save will start back up automatically. If you are running a game for others that faces the constant threat of griefing, you are going to HAVE to remember to disable auto-save either before you load the world or in the game, every single time you reload that world. This is inconvenient and unnecessary.
Instead, make it so that whichever auto-save setting you choose for that world stays that way. If, for example, you turn off trust players, it stays off until you turn it back on. Just make the "Disable Auto-save" setting the same way. It won't lose any of its functionality, and it will give the players more freedom and control.
Right! It is only helpful when you absolutely trust everyone that you are working with. If anything goes wrong it is going to be saved almost instantly and there isn't anything you can really do about it.
survival is one aspect... what about enchanting... virtually impossible under this crappy version of auto-save... the game would be better off with the old auto-savefeature or no auto-save at all...
their crappy new autosave feature combined with the new bugs cost me a diamond sword and 30 levels... and both disappeared... in a differnet instance 4 buckets of lava diappeared via a bug and the auto-save which was supposed to be disabled saved the bugs in BOTH cases..
then you have ghasts, blazes and creeps all of which can blow you into lava incredibly easily, even a regular enemy like a skeleton or a zombie's knockback can knock a person into lava if they're too close to a edge like when bucketing out lava to either make obsidian in a controlled area or to use as fuel.
so this auto-save as it exists now has to go, otherwise it makes the whole game unplayable garbage.... i'll be going back to xenominer and forza 5 until they fix this crap.
virtually impossible under this crappy version of auto-save...
In my opinion, that is how enchanting should be. It's not a guarantee and should remain random. I've never understood people who enchanted, quit, and reloaded. Especially now that their are Enchanted Books and Anvils in the console versions.

Another thing I think should stay the way it is. You died and lost your stuff. Tough luck. Go get more. What fun is the game when you can just go whoops, I died, reload when I wasn't in danger. At that point, why don't you just play on Peaceful? No worries about being killed by mobs then.
