So, we have been given some hints and notifications from 4J regarding the forthcoming update. they have loosely indicated that the update would be on 1.7-1.8 PC features. We also have Mojang working on a 1.9 update for PC. It is in the snapshots of the 1.9 update that I have noticed a number of long existing bugs have recently been fixed in the snapshots.
Even though these are 1.9 changes will some of them be ported to the upcoming Console update?
Specifically I wonder about boats? Mojang have fixed boats in the new snapshots, but they are/will be still broken in the console versions. They wouldn't be a "new" feature to console, but will 4J give them some love and fix them for TU31?
If anyone from 4J were to see this thread (hint hint 4J Steve), could you advise what bug fixes we might see in upcoming console releases?
Out of interest which bug fixes would you be interested in seeing from 1.9?

Random water source blocks created when water dispensed out of dispensers.
FR drop after creating a build that uses Hoppers and redstone.
I was referring more to bug fixes that have been made in 1.9
The random water source issue is on our end and proving a nuisance to fix as the Fix itself causes a large number of issues.
The frame rate drop I'd need to see what you're building as I have no issues unless it's a ridiculous sized device.

Thanks for the reply.
As I mentioned in my original statement Boats would be the first thing that comes to mind. There has been a lot of talk that boats were fixed for 1.9 in one of the snapshots, and that they are patterned off of the PE, would this be possible for console edition?
Secondly, it appears that this: MC-10 – Mobs temporarily glitch out of fenced areas / into blocks was fixed in snapshot 15w45a. If this is the bug where animals in pens glitch through the fences/walls, and it truly has been fixed, it would be great if it could be sorted out for this new update on console.
And lastly, while it isn't a bug which was fixed in the 1.9 snapshots, it would be really swell if you could revisit the issue with Blaze Spawners in the Nether, as you might be aware from reported glitches:
MCCE-661 Blaze Spawners Not Spawning Blazes Anymore
I bring up this third issue as it doesn't appear to be a problem in the PC edition (hence why there is no fix for it), so it would be nice to try to rectify it in the new release? hopefully!

I'll look into the first 2 issues you brought up.
In regards to the Blaze "issue" - It's an odd one.
The blaze spawners are working as intended but due to the Mob cap they function differently to the PC.
We do plan on revisiting how this works though.

Sorry, kiinda off-topic here. 4JSteve, will there be any chances we'll get Infinite Worlds like PC size? Because I don't want tostart a new world every time a big update releases. Is 4J working on it? By Realms or something like that maybe??

I'm not 4JSteve, but I know that the consoles just can't do that due to their restrictions. There would be a lack of Memory and Processing power making the game unplayable if we had infinite worlds.
It would be nice, but it's just not likely to happen.

Boats are very annoying. Just that they break so easily. I haven't been able to come up with a dock yet that consistently works without breaking the boat or killing you instantly.

What about the game crashes on Xbox One? I know many people who are experiencing it, and it has been in the bug tracker since September. Nobody is even looking into it.

We are constantly looking into - Not every bug will be assigned to someone in that database.

4jSteve Wouldn't you think game crashes would be a priority bug? It happens all the time. Also ill second even third the water glitching bug. Those random source blocks or water not spreading like it supposed to is bad. Frame rate drops or "jitter" is still happening also. I notice it more when I have friends in and we are near a village or a lot of mobs like a spawner mostly zombies. Keep up the good work! Cant wait till the next big one.... (dreams of slime blocks)

Game crashes are a priority hence "We are constantly looking into".
The problem with Game crashes such as the one being described in that bug is they aren't 100%.
In order for us to fix a crash we need to first reproduce it, sadly for many crashes they just don't happen that often (There are extreme examples where only x number of users may ever see x crash).

That has always struck me as strange. The only certain percentage of people experience the crashes, water issues, mobs teleporting, the jitters. I know on pc it happens because every computer is different along with the mods and launchers. But on xbox, a strictly controlled enviroment for developers and gamers how can it only effect a percentage? Im a beta/preview member for xbox since 360 days so crashes are the norm. From a user point of view its the same exact game on the same exact operating systems up until now on the same exact machines. But yet in my worlds I experience the water and framerate issues while in my friends world no issues at all till we lag out his server for being in it tong lol. Thanks for the reply actually means something.

Ism guessing no Becouse 4j aren't wrking on 1.9 yet they are still wrking in 1.8 or less they bring it forward but I wouldn't count on it.

Surely next gen can handle it
With the latest snapshot comes more bug fixes, here are a couple which caught my eye:
[Bug MC-5927] - Daylight Sensor outputting signal when encased
[Bug MC-59777] - Endermen lose ability to dodge melee attacks after being hit
Best regards
What I want to know is WHEN the Xbox 360 TU31will be.....
Boats are very annoying. Just that they break so easily. I haven't been able to come up with a dock yet that consistently works without breaking the boat or killing you instantly.
I have experienced the FR drop as well with redstone primarily on large maps. Is this due to the limited memory on the consoles?
What about the game crashes on Xbox One? I know many people who are experiencing it, and it has been in the bug tracker since September. Nobody is even looking into it.
